This is a pod where zaadzsters can announce conference calls and invite other zaadzsters.  It's also a place to discuss what was talked about on the tele-zaangha, and to ask...(more)

hi there - this is going to be great… do we have anything in particular that is going to set a direction apart from getting to know what we're interested in?

I will try to make it - but it will be getting a little late here in the UK.

Cheers Fn.

Hi,

that's kinda cool.
But if you don't just want it to be an all American affair - than
1) what about giving us Greenwich Mean Time or some such - we don't have Eastern Time here in Czech Rep.
2) What about giving us a way to connect that we also can participate in here without having to pay huge amounts in intercontinantal phone connection.

Love,
Mushin

hi! sounds like fun but i'll have to run at 6:30 EST cause of choir practice…

rule of thumb: a good time for an international teleconference is around 8 or 9 am EST on a weekend - it's quite early for those in Pacific time, but you can still comfortably include the UK, Europe, Australia, etc.

cheers,

there are many web sites to help with the time zone conversion.  here's one:

http://www.timezoneconverter.com/cgi-bin/tzc.tz

also another one is World Time Zone

thanks for the time converters… but to tell you the truth, I don't feel like getting up 4 o'clock in the morning to be part of this.

The other stumbling block is that the call is not for free, even with skype.
So a next time you might want to pick a) a time that is easier on people in Europe and b) pick a technology that doesn't cost us anything. And it is available through skypecast and other Web 2.0 applications.

Thank you,
mushin

You mean - you want to break away from the election to talk about changing the world!!? —-

Sure I'll be there - By the way, some services like this can send - outlook calendar items to remind us all of the up coming event?

It might also help move the conversation along if before the meeting those that intend to participate post a couple of Ideas before we start or if a list could be posted so that we could look around at those attending to cut short the need for general introductions.

I like to join in this cool thing, would be nice if each of us can take turn a few minutes about what is it we like to stand up for NOW and how we can bring out our vision in the world effectively.

I really like to get the entire planet of the sucidal treadmill of mindless money machine maintained by centralized bankasaurs that is called free-market capitalism for democracy…which is an illusion we have been conditioned to accept. A big mind shift needs to happen among people who dare to dream and take action. So count me in.

You may also want to check out www.iconnecthere.com for inexpensive rates for pc-to-phone connections or use their virtual phone card toll free access numbers to make long distance calls on your account from land lines, mobile phones or even pay phones.  I am not sure how the rates compare to skype, but it is another option.

I will listen to the recorded version.

Here's the RECORDING!

Michael said Nov 10, 2006, 5:56 PM:

You’ll hear many familiar voices!

And here are some of the ideas we shared…

Concept of Tele-Zaanghas, potential uses:
· discuss pod/forum posts live
· build community, connection through voice
· collaborate together in real time
· for campaigns and common projects
· for ideas about your pod, or for zaadz in general
· tele-seminars… teach what you know
· brainstorm other ways…
· virtual party
· acknowledge certain holidays
· master mind alliances
· practice speeches – get feedback
· just for fun

How to host your own Tele-Zaangha!
. RECOMMEND having/starting a pod
. Get a conference call # (FreeConferenceCall.com, etc.)
. Pick a time and date that will be suitable for a number of your pod members (global community? local community?)
. Announce the call on your pod
. Announce the call on TELE-Zaanghas
. be sure to give people all the info they’ll need to call in:
· conf number
· access code
· time w/time zone(s)
· expected length of call
· topic
· etc.
. Email a reminder to your pod members several hours before the call

We also discussed using Skype!
