Entering The Path

To enter the Path demands a metanoia, a change in perception.

My goal is to know through the eye and the vision…
the desire of the vision tells me:  Rise up and move…
In the same way that the child washes his tablet
before inscribing his letters on it,
God transforms the heart with blood and pitiful tears
before engraving His mysteries on it.  (Mathnawi I, 1821)
Come acknowledge that your imagination, your thinking,
your sensorial perceptions and your understanding
are like a reed stick on which the children ride.
