The essence of art can be found in the creative expression of the subtle, bold and multidimensional experience of our life here on Earth. The uniqueness of our individual experiences and desires unfold through collective consciousness in almost infinite forms that expresses the multidimensionality of our being and the co-creation of our reality. Many categories and forms of art have manifested in human history through our collective human experience from Surrealism, Dadaism, and Impressionism, to Abstract, Pointillism, and Visionary. Each one reflects an aspect of Ourselves back to ourselves through our collective experience, which then categorizes it, and opens the doorway for others to experience this particular aspect of Ourselves. Though there are many definitions and categories of art, in the end, what we consider and value as art is what we value and acknowledge most about ourselves. Even as we deny some aspects of ourselves in our own consciousness, such as the darker or emotional reflections embodied in such artwork as 'The Scream', we still must face these 'hidden' aspects which are presented back to us through art, and acknowledge them.
All the beauty, horror, love, vision, frailty, beliefs, emotions, ideals, and conventionality that makes up our experience of life and ourselves unfolds through the creative process of art and as such be-comes the aspects of ourselves that are laid bare for all to see. The phrase “Life imitates art” simply expresses the power of this process and how it unfolds through our culture in our collective experience. As art embodies new and bold aspects of ourselves, we in turn feel and embody these aspects in our life, evolving ourselves through new experiences facilitated by our deeper desires shown to us which can no longer be denied. The art we create changes the way we live, perceive, think, and even feel. It collectively integrates the aspects of Ourselves into the process of creation and evolves our awareness of who and what we are, and can become. Of course the reverse can also be said, that “Art imitates Life”, because the creative process is never separate from our experience.
We utilize art in many ways. We open our souls up for others to see, to touch, and experience when we create art. Sometimes art can be used to manipulate through advertising and politics. In this sense we tune into the collective psyche and use the subtle and not so subtle elements of our individual conscious meta-programs to modify behavior to suit others. The old adage “Sex sells” is an example of this. But going further into the creative process and the energy of art, we find that art is also utilized to communicate the deeper truths and aspects of Ourselves for healing and enlightenment.
In our societies we often lose touch with this creative process when art is experienced as something separate from our own process of creating and experiencing individually and collectively. When we feel we must learn this or that to be 'an artist' or put a value on our work based on a criteria of what is considered 'good art' we become disconnected from this process. We learn experientially and open ourselves to a greater conscious awareness through this process of creation where many masterpieces are as yet undreamed and un-discovered. By being open to and accepting art in new ways, we open ourselves further to our own creative process, and to self discovery. In the process of artistic creation there are no boundaries or limitations, and no real separations either. The unfolding of art is multidimensional, dynamic, and permeates all aspects of Life. As such it is also co-creative. When we look at a painting we are not just a separate observer without any connection to the physical work of art, we are instead in co-creation with the artist, exchanging energies, inspiration, and desires. Art is a continuum, a virtual space where dreams manifest with the intent of Self expression and the expression of Ourselves. With this understanding, a co-creational form of art can be realized and manifested.
This pod is the unfolding of my intent to help facilitate a deeper awareness of the creative process of art through the conscious co-creation of artistic projects. My desire is that our conscious co-creation will dynamically focus an integration of our creative efforts and vision together in a way that expands both our individual visions and creativity as well as our collective conscious potential for healing and evolution. We may discover ways to heal, evolve and empower ourselves and the world through discovering the deeper aspects of the co-creative process of art. Here art is not only a product but a process that exemplifies co-creation and evolution. When we open ourselves up to this process rather than just its result, what we create fuels an even greater co-creative potential, because our intent, vision, purpose, and whole being channels through the artistic creation in alignment with each other, the planet, and Being, giving it the power to truly heal and change the world, and our Reality. The more we open and connect ourselves to this process the more our consciousness will shift to manifest the aspects of Ourselves, God, Goddess, etc through Our creation.
All we need to do is set forth the intent to begin realizing the creative process together as our own process of evolution. Many of the discussion topics I am setting up will be geared towards exploring the process through how we experience artistic creation is all forms. One project I would like to begin soon is to manifest a co-creative healing work of art to be utilized and presented to others. An example of this would be the creation of a large work of art which is made up of hundreds of individual works of art, encompassing many forms, styles, and modalities, some physically connected, others connected by intent. This would be an artwork that spans the globe, with the intent on bringing together through artistic creation, and focusing the aspects that are needed to create a collective experience of healing for people, whether emotional, spiritual or physical. This is manifesting what we desire through the process of artistic co-creation!
