Movies

I just saw the movie 'The Departed'. Incredibly amazing. I don't even know where to begin. The cast was awesome, did great in acting and the plot was definitely different than most of the movies that I have seen lately. One of the actors was unmatchable. You can almost put yourself in his character's shoes and feel the intensity of what he must be going through. I don't even like that actor and I'm saying that he was pretty darn good and delivered an impressive performance.

There were a few things that didn't make sense (or made a lot of sense and should have made sense to the other characters in the movie but they all somehow got a blonde moment at the same time), kinda like watching a typical, teen horror movie when you're asking (no one, really) why does a bunch of people go in a place like that at a time like that and do that in the first place when all the things point out to DANGER. But it's minor little details in the movie. It wasn't that bad but I just wanted to give some kind of an idea without giving away too much. It wasn't that noticeable. Most of you (20 and below or 80 and above, yeah, no offense, hahah, just kidding…) would probably not catch something didn't fall into place. Some of the things in the movie you wouldn't know about or catch unless you have personal experience and you'd know that doesn't fly in the real world.

I recommend watching this movie at your best behavior. You get more out of it when you think about what's going on and able to put two plus two together. The end wasn't your typical happy ending. I can only imagine people walking out of the theaters stunned and in disbelief. At the same time, thinking to themselves, “I was hoping that would happen..”. When the credits rolled out, I was sitting there thinking to myself, “That's messed up. No way that could happen………………………… Good movie.”

It sure kept my heart thumpin' throughout the movie. Then it suddenly put my heart to a quick halt at the end.

That’s cool, I actually read your movie review the day you posted it, but didn’t realize it was the movie I rented two days ago, until now. ‘The Departed’ is definitely decent movie… 7.5 out of 10 on my scale… seem fair? It did have an amazing cast, one being an all time favorite of mine, Leonardo Dicaprio… he often picks roles to play or plays roles in a way that I often resonate with.

I was waiting for this movie to come out on dvd ever since I seen it previewed months ago…

It definitely had some blond moments… like think about! type of thing. But it didn’t really take away from the movie… in a way it kind of added to it.

I don’t want to give anything away about the ending, but it isn’t predictable by any means. It didn’t give me everything I wanted nor did it take it all away… all while leaving me with some questions to ponder over when it was all said and done… like, what was in that sealed envelope the psychotherapist put in her desk… did I miss something?

Good question about the envelope. I don't remember her opening it. Or being opened by anyone at all. Either we missed something or they forgot to put something.
