blog draft-save, multi-threaded blogs, and a bulletin board

would be really nice. Does anyone really read these? Or are we just talking? Is there another pod that the peeps-in-power are reading for ideas? I don't get responses to mine. Don't worry, I am too old to take it personally. I just don't want to waste my time if the ideas are not really being considered. Or if they are being considered but are just so dumb that a polite silence is really the only appropriate response…

Hi mary!

Send us a link to your pod! We are always interested in new ideas!
There are hundreds to go through, so we might be missing out on yours! Hope you have a great day. :)

do i need to have a pod to post here? or do you mean my profile? but you already have that… so I guess i am not sure…

well, along with draft saves, multi-threaded blogs and a bulletin board, another idea is to list the pods I belong to all on the same page, so I don't have to keep clicking on my profile page for a complete list. It is handy to have them on the profile page so I can go back and forth without always having to click onto a whole new page.  Some of us live outside of DSL, broadband areas and must rely on slower connections. When you participate on a lot of boards, reloading the same page again and again is a pain.

Thanks for the feedback on the lack of feedback. I know you are busy. Don't mean to take your time. Just trying to figure out if this pod is a mechanism for change or just a place to throw out ideas.

mary…i second your desire for these features!

I think that the first would be a really good thing for those of us who like to contemplate what we’ve written, editing as necessary, before submitting to the larger audience.

as for your other two suggestions, both multi-threaded blogs and a bulletin board would go a long, long way towards developing cohesiveness in this “virtual” community.

I hope your ideas will be implemented!

Hi Mary,

I am sorry if I misunderstood you earlier. I thought you were referring to your own, personal pod. And that we were not visiting it etc. hehe. Sorry about that!
But to get back to your ideas for features:
We are busy focussing on other 'top-secret' features at the moment. Your ideas are definitely good ones, and we will certainly take them into consideration as soon as we start working on the pods etc. again.

Thank you for your great thoughts. Keep them coming. I will definitely be reading them! (it is my job! ;-) )

Have a great day.

ANOTHER vote for draft-save - but not only for blog entries, but for posts like these. I have been using those features on Gather.com (which I'm gradually leaving in favor of here because I'm tired of being shredded by neo-cons), and have to admit that maybe I'm spoiled. It makes it much more practical to work directly in your editor than having to write (say) in Word and import (a tool for that would be nice, too, though). Why would you need it for posts like these? Well…. take for instance Petition Pod - which is supposed to be a one-location site for all the Internet petitions on issues that hit our mailbox. I have started submitting a posting daily of all such topics and links I receive each  day. Sometimes I miss one and end up doing multiple posts in a day. Would be SO much easier and cut down on posting numbers to save it in draft until the end of the day and post it once.
