Last week my 11-year-old nephew was perusing one of my bookcases and asked if he could borrow “Powers of Mind.” I told him the style in which it was written might make it difficult for him to find what he was seeking. He asked me what I meant, and I told him he would probably need a dictionary beside him while he read. Frustrated, he said, “Hasn't anybody written it for kids?”
1. How not to believe in illness when there's so much around; what to do when you get sick; how to help your friends when they get sick 3. How to think for yourself without feeling you are betraying authority figures when they tell you what you should believe.

What three people would you love to have dinner with(living or dead) and what would you discuss? You can take a trip back in time, where do you go and why? You are on a desert island, what 3 things do you have to have with you? What television character do you most identify with and why? You can ask God one question, what would it be?
What will be the greatest invention of the 21st century? Would you live on another planet? What country, besides your own would you like to live in? What one great teacher would you like to study under? What has been the most profound change in the world in the last 25 years? Why? |

If three wishes could be granted in your personal life right now, what would they be and why?
The end of all abuse, by ending capitalism, we end all abuse…its that simple! I would replace it with welfare, well-being, and quality of existence benchmarks, for the collective community of the human race. Everyone in their own lifetime be given the opportunity to self realize to a wider understanding of one race and have the opportunity to discover their own spirituality. |

You can take a trip back in time, where do you go and why? The big bang…to understand the size of the place before they opened it up, the spiritual significance to the beginning and establish if anything else was present at its point of origin. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Bang You are on a desert island, what 3 things do you have to have with you? My cat, a Swiss army knife, a solar lighter…perfect - see you all in the next life! What television character do you most identify with and why? Ray Mears…he's out there! You can ask God one question, what would it be? Please Sir! Can I have some more?
These records are not complete, what is completeness? What will be the greatest invention of the 21st century? Survival! Would you live on another planet? Yes! What country, besides your own would you like to live in? All countries are one, I live in the World…Pangea! What one great teacher would you like to study under? It's not Newton…maybe William Wallace What has been the most profound change in the world in the last 25 years? Why? Recycling…sustainability |

When your mind wonders, where does it go?
Into the future…the planet of homo-sapiens are at Peace, we no longer invest peoples time in the mundane necessities of economics, we are no longer controlled by its short coming and its inability to solve problems effectively. Instead we reuse all the positive elements of commercialization to organize the needs of the whole community collectively. That is, we share the fruits of the earth collectively, all humans are treated equally and a child in Africa, India, S,America, Russia, China (all such places) is as important as a child of the president's, all known knowledge and problems are fed into the collective race, identity of the self, self realization, collective identity and realization and spiritual diversity of the whole is absorbed to instigate the collective brain of human intellect towards the greater good of all living creation in the universe. We all share a collective identity as the human race towards progress and everyone is given homes, food, clothing, transport, community prerequisites of establishment and integration. Development of the human potential is integrated into the collective and communal aspects of life. The collective feeds the chain of development through the knowledge and production center's around the world, but, is tied into the status and progress of its purpose and effect. Everyone is involved with life on the planet and off the planet, to increase our knowledge awareness of the larger world of the universe. We make Peace with new species in distant galaxies and make new homes and defenses on other planets, we attain unlimited fuel supplies and nurture the planets eco-system back to health. The focus is on well-being, welfare, development, progress, achievement, truth, justice, liberty, equality, the new civilization of the human race not the past divisions of independent nationalistic warfare of greed and internal corruptions. Instead of development taking 50 years we start to achieve our targets in 1 year, because the collective gene pool of information accelerates development and the sustainable communities are involved, but, not draining the lifeblood out of the system like it is now. Anyway thats somewhere near where my head goes to escape reality! You have one magic talisman in your pocket. What is it and what does it mean to you? In todays world the talisman would be a credit card with unlimited credit, to wipe out all debts, sufferings and abuse in the world. In the future the concept of money is deemed unproductive so it would probably be something more significant like a tele-port key, a star-chart compass, a universal translator, a personal shield, an alethiometer or an amber spyglass. |

A few questions, some political, some psychological: - Why are there such extremes between poor and rich in the world?
Capitalism, the board-game reality of the civilizations legitimacy to protection of ownership of continents in the World! It's a blast - buy nukes invent money and control. - Is it true, that world famine would stop, if all obese American would start a thorough diet? No, to stop famine and poverty we have to integrate all the races of the World into one Race - the Human Race and start managing that instead of playing the game-board reality of world domination…at the moment the Americans are winning…great show - well done you win. - Is it true that in America more lives are lost because of poor education and bad health-care every day, then in the entire Iraq conflict? Probably, I only have experience of some domestic abuse victim's. One such woman in Washington, as been prostituted out since being a child to the men from her church, since, as a suffer of 'DID' her mother claims she has no soul, therefore the men are committing no sin, because God cannot see her, in her communities eyes she is bad born and worthless. She was married off to the local butcher for the purpose of producing boys, which she did, he keeps her on a chain, breaks her ribs every now and again and refuses her medical treatment until she passes out. The community covet their abuse, including police and health-care authorities. God bless America. - Do you know what habit's you have, and people have become to accept to be 'you', even if they don't like them? I have no sense where money is concerned for sure! My last partner fleeced me of two properties, got £100,000 worth of work done on her property and left me with the debts for her car, piano's and credit cards in my name. Cool a true capitalist. Since Christmas i've spent nearly £20,000 on my two remaining credit cards keeping prostitutes off the streets while trying to get them of drugs…I should be going to prison soon since the finance companies are closing the net, with fraud allegations. Cool. I may just look for other options out of my life habits, if I have enough money left! - Do you look up, at the clouds and trees, at the buildings, and at the ants in the grass? Yes, I look past the superficial exterior of life into the abyss of sin, chaos and wonder if hell on earth is true to the existence we experience. - Do you know how great it is to be alive? Yes and No. All things have a beginning and an end the in-between is what you make of it, at who's cost I don't know! - Would you kill for love? Yes, if it was everlasting! |

Where do your beliefs come from? Beliefs play such a pivotal role in every facet of our lives. What we do, what makes us angry, where we buy and who we hang out with… Are they generated from nothingness? Do they pop into your head? Are you the original creator of your beliefs, or do others play a role in their creation? Where do your beliefs come from? |

I believe if one reads the original question first (a beginning and an end) and avoids diving into the bit in-between. One will have a better understanding of what this thread is about and won't look as stupid as I do after answering so many question's (doh!). They were great questions and I did throughly enjoy adding my own answers, but, will avoid continuing further since my seed count looks quite healthy again. So, one, will now add one's own questions to the collective and play the game. Sorry for any inconvenience this caused…I would blame Pan Shadow - my eyes and ears, but, alas he slept through the entire episode, oh well…Thats all folks! |

Think of a set of opposites that are prominent tensions in your life – for example, revealing/concealing, autonomy/connectedness, or even something as simple as up/down, left/right, or inside/outside. Connect a thought or situation with each opposite – for example, “I reveal a lot about my life to my close friends” and “I conceal my imperfections with makeup”. |

What do you support? So many of us focus our attention on issues, problems, irritations, and things we wish were changed, because it's easy to see those things, not so easy to live in constant gratefulness of all the things that are perfect, the very things that even allow those “ugly” things to exist. So like Mother Theresa said, “…if you're having a pro-peace rally, give me a call,” what things could you focus your support on that are the opposite side to the things you currently disapprove? |

It would be fun to have some “show and tell” QaR's - you know, take a picture of what you see when you step out your door and talk about it. Take a pic of the desk your computer is on (no fair tidying up first) and talk about it. How about a self-portrait, or the most beautiful thing you saw yesterday, or the back seat of your car? I just think show and tell would be a lot of fun. |

yes!!! that would be so interesting…… seeing snippets of other lives. it could also be such a jumping off point for story telling. you know how lots of show and tell in school was fictional– it could get pretty wild fun fictional on zaadz sometimes too. – and truth could often be even more interesting than the ficitons we tell each other and ourselves. :-) |

Good Lord, I hope not! It makes for a nice speed bump- like guilt. Both are necessary or you'd never have enough weight to shift your direction. It's just not necessary for much more than an attention getter. If someone you love is holding on to any of these negatives, they're holding onto something completely different- something they breathe life into each time they couple it in that energy. |

Re: Questions and Reflections: Add yours!tinkonthebrink said Apr 20, 2008, 5:42 AM: |

This isn't a suggestion for a specific question, just a thought about how the questions are phrased. The question just above reminds me of a recent one “what is your relationship to apology”, and I just want to suggest that more specific questions would probably elicit more authentic responses. Like “talk about a time when you apologized” or “talk about something you wish you could apologize for” or “take this opportunity to apologize if you need to, for anything that feels unfinished”. The wildly open-ended questions could elicit great responses in a group where there were further questions and continuing direction and an intention being held by someone(s) holding the space, but undirected it seems to me that they often go off into vagueness. |

Agreed, rapunzel. It's a fine line between asking overly specific (getting “Yes” as an answer isn't terribly interesting), or leading / assuming (“How do you feel about the fact that our world is falling apart?”) questiosn, and those that are too vague; the reason I like erring on the side of the latter is that they act as much more of a projection screen, and I love seeing how the same question can be interpreted in so, so many different ways. It's eye-opening, and humbling, to learn about how people 'hear' the same set of words. :) |
