suggestion for spelling check for posts and replies

First of all thanks for or the hard work and amazing input that the gaia team is putting in to this amazing project called gaia!

For myself and on behalf of the gaia members who do not have English as a first spoken or written language:

I feel it would be extremely helpful if there would be a spelling check option on the posting and replying to threads.

Is that possible?

We used to have that, Deepak, but the new program used for most posting in the site now doesn't have it. The old program was not reliable, and the new one is much more stable and reliable, but has fewer features. We had to sacrifice some abilities, like spellcheck, for something that works most of the time, instead of people losing stuff just as they were posting it! Most people feel that's a good trade-off. 

~Matthew usually replies to this request by suggesting you look in your browser, as most browsers have spellchecking capability that you can turn on. 

If you can't find one in your browser, ask again here and I am sure ~Matthew can tell you how to find it, if you tell him what browser you are using.

Your English is better than mine :-)
You can also use a text editor like Kompozer - NVU 1.0. It's open source and has lots of dandy switches. I use ScribeFire with Firefox.

thanks Larry! I downloaded ScribeFire, that's a cool program, makes things a lot easier
