Time outs

flex22 said Jun 24, 2006, 11:15 AM:

Man do you guys need a bigger server/SSS or what. After about fifty attempts trying to add a link to an email I was sending, I gave up as the dialogue box kept hanging and then the thing just timed out. Therefore the mail I itnended to send I couldn't send. Not happy!

Also, I still find that although it is better than it was, the site still hangs from time to time. It's like I have to hit the link twice sometimes to get it into gear.

Sort of laughing it off when people come and complain that they have lost a blog post due to a timeout may work the first time.I know the place is in beta but should this affect performance! I almost fall alseep waiting for some links to load.Really guys, it is not good.Sort it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cheers!

I'm having similar time out issues even now.  While I'm not worried about losing messages or blogs b/c firefox rules and saves postdata so I can just hit the “try again” or go back and resend… timing out is not fun.  It happens too when I'm moving between subdomains, like I'm home at thewayofmac.zaadz.com and I go to mail.zaadz.com it times out, or mail.zaadz.com to pods.zaadz.com (when I was coming over to type this bug report!).  Something strange I noticed is it doesn't seem to take long to time out… usually timing out really is timing out, i.e. it's taking a long time to load.  But this moving between subdomains, it times out in the time it normally would have just displayed the page.  Does that make any sense?
