Know what's missing from the profile pages?

Well, besides music…I've often wondered why, in this vast community of totally creative people, the profile pages don't include a section on Art I Love, or Favorite Artists, or somesuch.  I have a few friends who will periodically post something amazing about a favorite work or favorite artist.  Can't help but think ART could be just as valuable a “resonator” as books, movies, and music!

P.S.  Has anybody figured out how to add a playlist to the profile pages?  Have I just missed the memo?

Just wanted to note that I think it's a pity that there is no mention of recent blogs and recent photos on the “profile page” of users. It would be nice to have another “box”, perhaps under the “friends” one, where the titles of the five latest user's blogs, and perhaps the latest user's picture, are shown.

Hi Alex,

You can see  your friends blog posts easily using the friends tool.
Look where it says BLOG, move your cursor down and you see FRIENDS

if you click that, it opens up all your friends blog posts for the day and past.

Till they introduce it –if they do–I've added a blidget to my profile that shows the latest blogs. ANd my blidget shows a blog that is about how to add a blidget to your profile!

Yeah, I totally agree Mamakat. I have often thought I would create my own little section for Art on my profile but never got to it. Why don't you start the trend??

And Zet, I have been doing that on my profile since the beginning, in the sections on What's Hot and What's New in My Place near the top of the profile. It sure would be nice to have something like that automated, though.

I am planning to turn my Valuable Links list into one link to a blog entry containing the list, and replace that space with a complete list of my blog entries, each title as a link, labelled by month and year, and updated constantly. I've been creating it as a private blog, and will copy-paste when it's ready. Had to do a similar thing with list of links to my pods, as those are not routinely posted by the system; I can see privacy considerations dictating the default of no-showing those.

And Zet I still owe you a response to Gaia Community post of ages ago. I have not forgotten….

question- once you post a blog list, how will it be found? And not buried under the other blogs? In other words, how will someone else find it? Ah! Perhaps a link on your profile to the blog of blogs?

Am writing re the home page facility which i have elected to use.
i am enquiring how to change the weather and map already there which is of Boulder, Colorado
My partner resides in Pasadena Texas and would like a map of her vicenity and prevailing weather also plus mine also here in Adelaide, Australia.

I think having the option to add an 'earth flag' vs a country flag or no country flag is needed for Gaia at our 'location' section of the profile.  I don't know how to do this, but perhaps some of you computer jocks could figure it all out?

recyclefriend, somehow the links on your post got an error message. I found the Earth Flag project here: http://www.theearthflagproject.org/

and http://www.earthflags.com. I have to admit though, that through those clouds, I was trying to see which countries are showing! I like that unusual view of many countries together….
