just a thought… but… I'm thinking of Google and how popular it is… Methinks it's so popular because there's no advertising/banners… I just noticed the “featured friend” thing up in the corner… not to be too picky… but… well.. ok… I guess that might be too picky… but mehopes it doesn't grow into anything larger than that… =)… |

I just have to say that the ads for Flow, WIE, etc., in the upper right hand corner are just that: ads. I don’t like them one bit. For one thing, it has shifted where I have to look for mail, and I was used to that, and felt that it was my personal space and information framing the whole page. Now, it’s a series of small banner ads, but nonetheless banner ads, that are constantly popping up there. Can we at least be given the option to turn this off? It makes me not want to come to Zaadz, or, at least, makes me a lot less happy when I look at the page. – Jordan Gruber |

First, Brian, I have no problem paying for Zaadz if it continues to deliver. I have three or four sites that I support monthly, and I think Zaadz deserves that. Second, I’m not saying I’m opposed to the advertising everywhere and anywhere, just that my first, gut, reaction – which I didn’t cognize intellectually for about 3 days after seeing it – was that I just don’t like it. I felt like someone had hijacked the Zaadz interface and Zaadz itself. It might be that if it was to the left of the words “my account” it wouldn’t be so aesthetnically unhappymaking for me … but where it is now it is the very first thing that I see, and it is something I have no control of, that is bright, and that, in my view, doesn’t really fit in to the rest of the site design. Third, you can always count on me for my candor. I don’t know if that’s good or bad, but I figure that without truth flowing freely here, there’s no point of being here. Thakns for listening. – Jordan |

If there is a Premium Membership in the offing so be it as the existence of zaadz may depend on it. As for me, even if I had a million dollars (which I do not) I will remain with the “common man”. Honestly, if it such membership can be avoided it will be ideal because to foster elitism, whether financial or spiritual, on a site like this would be a great pity. |

~ and for zaadz paid membership… well i can just guess that to cover the cost of this site is at least 6 figures a month which makes it at least 1 MILLION $ a year… and since i m using this service i may be interested if i find the value and benefits if/when Zaadz, Inc. offers these custom pages, simply to contribute something but also get a value for my contribution… and yes then to avoid elitism would be for zaadz to ask all the members to pay for this service and i doubt many would be happy about it… so only other option i see is to offer an option of FREE & PAID service to cover the above mantioned 1 MILLION $ a year budget expense… at least thats how i see it…. |

Is it possible to find out how much does it cost to run Zaadz? Is there a budget plan and is it possibly available to see and comment on? |

Zaadz will bring banners and ads that appeal to the community, and they'll do it in tasteful way. I welcome it. |

Um, I really don't mind the ads in the upper right hand corner… They're small and pretty, and they aren't “whose boobs are these?? Win $500!” type of things. |

I agree with Kelly……I don't mind the ads in top corner. Zaadz needs revenue to continue providing these services to us. However I am also on the same page as………I could not afford to pay for membership. I can barely afford my aol bill……just to get on the internet. |

I feel advertising, when done well (as it is on this site) is a wonderful way to make a lot of cool stuff free for its users. I was impressed by the featured friend ad, and feel the google ads are well placed, and look forward to seeing the ads become more and more relevant. |
