As I’ve been surfing through the Zaadz community I’ve come upon a couple instances where information that has been submitted is either wrong or misplaced (e.g. misspelled restaurant names, duplicate authors (my mistake in one instance), incorrect restaurant operation hours, etc.).
I think it would be beneficial to create some sort of “quasi-wiki-style” interface in order to allow the information available to Zaadsters to be up to date and correct. While this could manifest itself in the form of something like Wikipedia, I recognize that there is always the potential for someone to come in and cause problems with information that is easily editable. To address this problem, I suggest creating some form of “correction form” that could be sent to the administrators. This “Correction Request Form” would take the form of an e-mail, would include a title, a reason for correction, the correction itself, and the user who has submitted the correction.
The potential that this particular idea presents is this: it will allow for corrections to be easily made by users with the permission of adminstrators. Rather than making a request-by-message to an administrator and having them search to make a change, the change can be presented in a form and as soon as the administrators cross-checks and approves the correction being requested, the correction will be put into effect.
On a smaller note, the user-to-admin exchange format this can take could be similar to the “Invite” process, where the user submitting a correction will be made aware of whether or not the correction was approved, and when.
