Hi,
Here is a (long) excerpt from my profile, we have several alternative media projects going right now. ….. Christy Korrow
I am a mother, author, poet and an editor, and I am an investigator of the faerie kingdoms of nature and spiritual worlds.
My husband, Chris Korrow, is a fimmaker, photographer and author, and together we have launched a media company called Breathe Deep Productions (no web site yet). Breathe Deep uses the media arts to explore the intersections of gardening, environment, social health and the evolution of human consciousness. Projects to date include: Garden Insects, which premiered nationwide on PBS, Awakening to Nature: Gardening and Nature Observation as a Path to Spiritual Development (essays and photography by Chris Korrow) and Seven Angels All in a Row: Guardians Along the Seekers Formless Path (poetry by Christy Korrow).
In progress is our 30 Square Foot Garden booklet—stay tuned for publication details. Gardening is of the most important keys to turning around our enviromental, financial and health crises. By getting involved in nature and consuming fresh high vitality food we have the opportunity to experience the beautiful, abundant co-creative powers of nature. Through this we can learn new ways of creating social systems, healing modalities, expanded joy in our lives and health in our relationships.
We work from an office outpost atop our magical ridge top farm in the middle of Knowwhere, Kentucky, complete with two darling teenage daughters (I mean it, they really are sweet), three horses, two goats, chickens, cats, solar panels, wood buring stove, gardens, fruit trees and an octagon-shaped house painted on the inside with soft blue beewax glaze over white milk-based eco paints and built by my wonderful husband. I was married in this house and my two children were born there, we have a house gnome called Trusty, but he doesn't help much with housework.
Our daughters are homeschooled and our curriculum is centered on art and nature—a knowing of these two sectors leads to true intelligence.
I am the editor of LILIPOH the spirit in life. This is a spiritual health magazine with a NON glossy cover and we cover therapies, Waldorf education, arts, biodynamic gardening, nature spirits, nutrition, anthroposophy, and other topics relating to spiritual development and the brilliant awakening of conciousness that everyone is talking about these days.
Another editorial job I have is for a rather smallish, but certainly not insignificant newsletter called Applied Biodynamics. In 1924, Rudolf Steiner gave some guidlines that farmers could follow to produce food with LIFE FORCES. This movment predated organics and became known as biodynamics.
