Time, Space, And Knowledge...

starlight said Dec 23, 2008, 10:28 PM:

i just finished this book…and i have to admit i am blown away…except for the very little tsk that bruce and david have brought me in contact with…i had none…and i was amazed at how i just seem to float through the pages…even the experience of reading opened me up in ways that were amazing…this resonated so with my own awareness, and i was so excited today, b/c as i was just finishing up this book, i got Love of Knowledge in my mailbox…lol

bruce i really want to thank you for turning me on to this book, and david, thank you too for your writings that also led me to tsk…i was so skeptical back a few months when bruce, you brought tsk to my attention…i did not want a belief system to follow…as you know…

but this was like opening up space and time within myself and the world i see…and letting knowledge flow through…i feel home with this…

i love, love, love how TT uses our own reality…how cool is that?  i have to admit that i have a very difficult time with the visualization…at least the really conceptual ones, although i do like that he uses ordinary things…but i have found that space actually gives me enough visuals to work with…i don't really need to work with conceptual ones…lol…i did try a few…the giant body cracked me up; we don't have to go into why…lol…

anyways, this really is awesome…i found it flowing, beautiful, graceful, inspiring, and wonderous…in many places it was like he was speaking my feelings and words…like i said, it was much like finally feeling like i had come home…thnx again bruce…

always…star…

Star, that is wonderful.  It's a “magical” book, in many ways – the language is clear and straight and yet also evocative, innovative, opening up new vistas of insight.  If you're familiar with certain Buddhist teachings, particularly Dzogchen and Yogachara, there are clear resonances, but it steers clear of religious symbolism and tradition, as you've noticed.

I only have a little computer time at present, but I look forward to talking with you more … and to your contributions to this pod!

I love the lovely poem you just contributed, for instance … :-)

Warm wishes,

B.

hey bruce…warm wishes to you as well…and i too look forward to discussing tsk with you and others…

i am just really so impressed at how it can be a constant in so many ways which affects 'real life' and leds to just an overall opening of experience, no matter what you are doing or where you are…there is always…tsk…lol

yes, i see what you mean about it resonating with buddhism as well as dzogchen…without the entanglement of 'concrete' beliefs or assumptions though…which is what really draws me to it completely…

i also see how it relates to integral theory without getting into all the specifics of any theory…lol…mainly i just love that it does not allow for closed off ideas by way of its infinite opening…of space, time, and knowledge…it is way cool…and i am way jazzed!

always, joy*
