what is

Practicality and philosophy… perhaps strange friends. But I will try and bring them together. For what do I want to say on this posting? Simple really. Bring it back to this moment… what vision do I have at this moment? What do I see in my thoughts that I want to make real?

I want to share what I am experiencing/thinking/being/writing with others!

Wonderful! Please do use this pod to do so. I look forward to the discussions here.

good to read from you,

Having just re-read the first posting… there is a lot about ‘I’. I think a better suggestion is… “To share what WE are experiencing/thinking/being at THIS MOMENT and writing it down”.

At THIS MOMENT. What an incredible challenge. I am thinking I will do something with the kids. So… off I go.

Philosophy versus practicality.  Talking the talk versus walking the walk.  Defining one's vision of the moment.  Accepting that visions may change.  Excellent!

I am often faced with not puting my philosophy into practice.  My current vision, my vision of the moment, is to reexamine my value system and make adjustments wherever my actions are not in alignment.

ALL artists are visionaries  -  visionaries to the extent of their desire for a qualitative improvement of form as part of the global collective consciousness.

In the context of Carl Jung's statement that - enlightenment embraces an insight into the nature of SELF and that it is emancipation of the conscious from an illusionary conception of SELF - ALL art is a manifestation of the creative impulse of spirit.

Two of the artists who have influenced me most in this respect are Escher & Bridget Riley.

My own definition of  Integral Art  is that which is produced - as a result of the perceiver, the perceiving and the perceived being ONE - by an artist that is fully enlightened.

I remarked to Kenneth Baker M.P. - and Educational Minister to Margaret Thatcher - in 1982, that the archives of the BBC were worth more to the British nation than all the country's coal deposits.  I further remarked that in order to “mine” that wealth, an appropriate infrastructure and facilities would need to be established before the information could be put into IT (Information Technology) and subsequently distributed in a form that would be beneficial to ALL potential users - and that if anyone can find beauty in technology it's an artist.

Ken Wilber's underlying driving spirit - which tells us that
everybody has a piece of the truth

if this (or any other) is a false statement  then, falseness is a piece of the truth

I am a firm believer of there being only good.  So I agree with you, falseness is just a different grade of truth.

What is. Now. I have just come to this moment after reading the posts in this pod. The words that stayed with me are “absolutely”… “believer” and “good”. And throw in “vision” from a few posts ago. NOW. Putting them all together (using the chaotic ordered random all knowingness of our internal random artistic word generator… otherwise known as Higher Self/God/Other/You/Me/Us/Universe/etc)…

To realise a vision requires Absolute Belief. Good or Other-Wise.

Kosmic Consiousness - covers most of the work which Ken Wilber has written to date and I found Brad Reynolds book helpfull in creating a structure on which to hang it all

Follow the essence of pure motivation link above for elaboration on my decidedly enthusiastic ABSOLUTELY comment

This is an enlightening topic.  I am taking a philosophy class this semester and the questions that emerge are just amazing.

Slightly off the topic…

Today we discussed “isms” and how to be trapped within an “ism” is to be unaware of your own thinking capabilities.  For example, if you follow passivism, you lose yourself within the definition.  However, if you are just simply a pacifist, you remain able to think for yourself and respect the opinions of others.  The “ism” strips one of the ability to make choices for themselves because there is a set of “rules” to be followed - a plan and a path already designed to follow.

I am curious to know what everyone thinks of this “thought.”
