electricity-free appliances

creature said Dec 27, 2006, 7:40 PM:

Hello, all! I’ve been pioneering my personal life to be electricity-free. A goal to be attatined, of course. Ever to be attained. Good thing I’ve got forever!

So as a raw vegan, we usually throw out our stoves, mircowaves, toaster ovens and ice boxes thinking we are saving electricity, while not noticing the guzzling blenders, juicers, dehydrators and food processors we are replacing them with. So I set out on a mission:

That’s right! I blend my smoothies with pedal power. I don’t even realize I’ve “worked out”. http://electrabike.com, http://xtracycle and most importantly, http://bikeblender.com came together to make my uber stank set up, but look what I was just gifted for the Winter Solstice:

Much more space appropriate to the chef.

Okay, okay, I’ve also got pics of some other electricty-free projets under the Green Life Topic in the Lonely Garden Forum http://tonyakay.com/phpbb/index.php. Join in and speak up, please, after you take a look at the vermicomposter, the clothes line, the solar dehydrator and the WVO oil car. What are you up to?
