well the term 'start where you are' is more in application to yourself, your inner condition and it can expand to the conditions around you. go where you would like i have long wanted to go to new mexico. since you have a sampling you have a better idea of how places are and maybe you might try and travel around to find the right place for you.
if you want to start a new way first make yourself alight unto the world then people will come to you. there will people who want to feed on you and there will be those who want to idolize you. the ones you will want to know are the ones who will learn not from, but with you. if you choose to join another group in thier endeavor make sure it is respectful, make sure it feels right, they should let you think and allow you to question and reword thier philosophy in order to make it your own.
if you find something good let me know. and when i pull myself from the mire that has enveloped my life as of now and engage life in a communal way i will let you know.
until then you know where i can be found. :)

Thank you for that metaphor, i really like it! You have a good point about the sea level rising! Mountains were my other favorite idea too. I know this goal seems hard to reach but i believe anything is possible. Starting where i am is not quite as simple though. My parents were military, I have been traveling all my life and have no home town. I have traveled on my own in search for home and now find myself in florida which i have grown to dislike emminsly. It is mush too hot in the summer and instects thrive rampantly. Besides florida will probably be under water soon too and its no place to invest my future. I have thought about going back to california the state i was born in and perhaps finding two friends that moved there years ago. I lived in ohio for many years, texas, alaska, north carolina. A friend visiting oregon said eugene is a free spirited place! i'll soon be 25 and still i know not where i belong and i am restless yet .

many people feel the same urge, my best friend and i have since 7th grade had and thought about the same idea. we considered though an island always sounds good that the sea levels are rising and you will lose land before long. we thought that an aircraft carrier covered in soil might be a good idea but that is very exspensive sounding. we would really like to get some land in mountains somewhere far from civilization and dig into the mountains to build a self sustaining community, but that too is a pipe dream compared to now. in my plan, the first thing that you need to do is to manage yourself,now stick with me for this metaphor, develop yourself until there is a bubble around you, and you will collect around you what seems to be dirt but as they develop around you they too will be bubbles. as the foam builds it creates a unified mass. that is how you break free to form a new style of community, start where you are.
its one of my goals here on zaadz, its called Plan A.
i have thought a lot about it and the functions and possibilites are mapped out in my head and on paper. i just need diligence and patience.

while this has gone abit of subject i wanted to comment on what you said about the american dream bullshit template we're given. From what i can tell it seems that some of the most natural societies were tribal. I long to leave this social arena and start my own culture. But alas, i was born into the manipulated masses and i feel that i must rise from it to be free of it. I once had the notion to walk along the beach south until reaching some south/central american 3rd world paridise but then i would only be running from what i hate. Seeing so many others suffering, i want to start a new way. I am currently working and researching in effort to create a proposal for a business grant. If all goes well, i will use the profits to buy an island or acrage and start my own society. I may be crazy but thats what they say about all inventive thinkers. what do you think.

i agree. i have long thought that there is something unnatural about the way that people commonly think of love. many people dont think that they can live without "love" and yet seek superficial relationships that give the impression of love, they seem to think that if i hit this formula life will be great and that formula is the "american dream" which includes these and more: education(in the form of a peice of paper not in the sense of being educated), love (in the form of a relationship leading to marraige or a similar form of bondage), property ownership (having a house and lots of pretty crap to fill it with), and career success (being a slave to a source of money, to support the previous conditions) all this goes together to make us slaves to our desires nad to the desire of society which now is run by commercialism :P
to one who subscribes to that view of the world it is downright strange that anyone would not jump at the opportunity to do these things for themselves, to be that way too. i personally have no desire to be married for its own sake nor for that matter to chase a career or property ownership, i dont want a house or a car for thier own sake. i dont want a bunch of crap to have and i dont want to sell myself to some company to work me 40+ hours a week to get all of that crap.

i have always wondered about this concept. i have wondered if there really is a third dna spiral. if so it should be verifiable scientifically, but none of the sources that i have seen use anything to prove thier claims. well perhaps it is a metaphor or a concept to outline the belief of change, if so why use something like dna without proof?
i have long been a believer in the evolution of human kind and the light body but if there are claims of three strands of dna there should be evidence. i am going to read this article it seems to have more information.

i have often disliked love songs all together and i would tell myself it was because the kind of love that was being discribed did not exist but on a spiritual journey that i embarked upon in 2000 i began to relate any song of love to the divine essence of love that is ever present when we aknowledge it. Truely i feel that society and hollywood's promotion of a specific "love" is false and maintained to control us. Most people i have met have problems in relationships and issues with love in general. I too struggle with my own morality and question the roles we play. a friend of mine recently told me how she wished people could be less upight about intimacy and how natural it once was for even platonic friends to share a bed and same sex persons to fall asleep in eachothers embrace. It was not about being gay, human beings are sensual beings and now we live in such a rigid, fundamentalist, conditioned state that we are socially unable to share pure, would-be moments of love. I think love exists on so many different levels. I agree with you that we must find fullfillment within our selves first and although i have been led astray in the past i am growing forward in truth....namaste

many times i have come across information about our evolution and the re-appearing third stand of DNA that many people now possess or are developing. Upon reading the latest related article i heard about something new, the notion that we are entering a planetary alignment with the "Photonic Belt" which is providing immense energy to us and aiding in our cellular transition into light bodys. The article mentions the importance of regular meditation and breathing techniques to help keep us centered and able to recieve this energy. Ever since i heard Shelly's story and plan to fire the grid i have been so excited and happy to participate in this global mediation with intentions of healing the earth and strengthing our connection with each other. Just today, i got an email about the evil conspiracy behind FTG and that Shelly is misguided and manipulated but I don't buy it! With only a week to go I feel deep with in my being that this conspiracy therory is am attempt to instil fear in us and discourage this event from taking place. I my self, like many others are still going to participate 7/17/07 at 11:11am for an hour long meditation. Research for your self and tell me what you think..........

I have not read Jeremiah's posts elsewhere but I understand from Keith they are generally upbeat and positive. However, what I see above is clearly based on fear. I would be more interested in a perspective based on the clarity of Light and Love without fear.

I don’t know what exactly I will be doing at 7/17/07 at 11:11 GMT, but everyday I live with love, not fear. I don’t think anyone should do anything out of fear. I send love and light to the planet everyday, often for more than an hour. I’m IN LOVE with this little blue ball and so many, many off it’s inhabitants, plant, animal and human, not to mention mineral and ether. :-)

I’m with Gabriel and axiom. I’m not upset. A bit confused by the weird conspiracy theory rambling post. but certainly, anyone who feels used and manipulated cannot send pure love out. that person has not found his or her own comfort zone. has not realized how to shift from fear to love. it’s just a 10th of a degree shift, but millions of miles for some. one cannot love / trust others until one and love/trust self, certainly.

I’m not aftraid of offereing my love and light to the world. It’s mine to give as I will.

I noticed the mention of “reptilian beings” in jeremiah's comment. Might this be the reptilians who are said to be 'in control', even of the great white brotherhood mythos?

Personally I have the Source, and we have the Source, and we are united in the Source, and no offence to any belief system running around out there claiming to be the 'truth', but the Source is enough for me, thank you very much.

And as for contacting and following dream-created beings, be they angels or masters or reptiles…. well that is not for me.

I did take the time to watch 1-7 of the videos. I must say that I just opened my heart and I found it touched me. One thing that I have found is that you can make an argument for any point. Peggy states that Shelley is calling for a return to tribalism. She makes it sound like a bad thing. What she didn't do is finish the thought that was put out there. Anyone who has learned of Native American or other indigenous cultures know that they took care of each other. Shelley continued on with the thought in speaking about the children and how no child should ever be hungry or without proper medical care. In the ancient ways the elders, the children, the sick, were the responsibility of the whole tribe. Everyone took part in a childs learning. This is in line with the Hopi and others stating that we need to return to the old ways. There was no greed under the old ways. When the hunters went out, they gave thanks to the animal that gave its life so they may eat. An offering of a small chunk of the best cut of the meat was put in the fire in honor of the animal. The rest of the meat would be dispersed to the elders and sick and then the families would share the rest.
I spoke of FTG in my recent blog. I mentioned that many may not agree with the FTG people, but it was a good call to get people together for a common cause to pray for the healing of Earth Mother. It is still a good cause. We need to bring healing to the land. The feeling I got in reading these responses was that this person was trying to instill fear.
We recently came together as a people to pray for our brother Bear Warriors young grandson Ruben. They had found two holes in his heart. We just received an update from Bear, one of the holes was totally closed and the other was almost closed. The doctors are dumbfounded. Our intention, or at least mine, is to bring healing to the earth. The water, the air, the ground is all poisoned. These toxins must be removed if we are to survive as a people. I know in my heart that coming together for the healing of the earth will bring about positive changes. This I know in my heart.
My heart to your heart, one heart, one spirit.

We are all One. A fear based expression is a thinly disguised personal cry for help. And that cry does not come from “out there” on a pod post from someone miles away. What we see on this screen is simply a reflection. That cry is within Oneself, and will not go away until it is healed with Love.

The healer is oneself… in other words, each one of us.

Wow….I'm so happy that not too many people jumped on the Fear Bandwagon with this…
I have never promoted anything…never…if you look at my page or my blogs, you will see that. I don't promote just any idea, just any website, heck not even what I do for a living…
But Fire The Grid resonated with me and still does…Shelley's story is not of an unwilling possessed woman…it's an example to show you that she is not a fanatic…Just like Akaine, the Indigo Child in my blog, who paints fantastic Jesus and Heaven and Children images, her parents never spoke about God or religion…The Creator does this to let you know that it truly is coming from Him/Her ;-)
I also frequent Mission Ignition and there are many, many, many conspiracy theories…soon as you throw something out, someone says it's a conspiracy…I take it with a grain of salt…
How can people do this? It is a Miracle that a child who was passing his innards out and smelling like rotten meat would heal and smell like a new baby. What a Miracle.
No one can control your pure intention for the Healing of this Planet or Person…Pure energy goes where it is needed for the Greater Good…People sure can dissuade you from using your Healing Energy, though.
WhiteWolf…I totally agree with also…Tribalism is a Great Thing (Real Tribalism)…and absolutely, everyone takes care of everyone else…something we desperately need in this world!!!! How can you mix that up with a New World Order or a One World Government? FTG is not about Control/Overcontrol!!! (Now THAT is a funny conspiracy story)…

Why the hell are you listening to Reptiles? I've been seeing lots of this Reptilian Race crap lately…I don't buy into it for a minute…we supposedly all have a part of reptilian brain in us…looks like some people have an overdeveloped one…haven't we evolved beyond Reptiles??? The snake eating its own tail is not indicative of the Reptilian race (though the people who believe in it are using it to further their own theories)…it's like the Yin/Yang symbol…You can draw an Infinity Symbol without using a snake! What is the pure essence and meaning behind the Infinity Symbol, though? That it's a symbol of the Reptilian race? Come on…Wake Up.
I know that there is real Power when we are all in communion, when we all focus on something…You know it too. “THEY” know this as well.
Have you ever experienced what happens when “two or more are gathered…”??? I have…it's an amazing show of Spirit…

I reacted initially not from a base of fear, as some have pointed out this produced, but one of respect and appreciation of Jeremiah. I found it very odd, indeed, that up till yesterday Jeremiah had not weighed in at all on FTG. I never asked him why this was so. I just thought it was not, perhaps, his thing.

He has always generated such a calming and level-headed energy which I, for one, appreciate very much. This comment above was TOTALLY NOT in keeping with what one would expect from such a one as Jeremiah. This is why I acted and reacted as I did.

So, evidently, Jeremiah himself is having second thoughts about this via his most recent blog post. If the intent is pure … Light will always trumps fear and darkness.

There is no need for fear.

Let the Meditation commence … with High Ideals and Pure Intent to create Light and Love and Joy and Peace and Healing …

Have Faith,
I believe we must follow our initial feelings that our inner being recognizes and i must say that my very first instincts about FTG were pure, exhilerating, and profound. I felt angry when i read about the conspiracy and i agree that it is merely an attempt to spread fear.

We are a collective consciousness and together we have the most potential. I am a level one reiki pracitioner, as the energy flows through me it knows right where to go. My awarness of its pressence allows me to open my self up to its healing power more and more, but it is a gradual journey for me. Several Reiki friends of mine work together when healing someone for maximum effect. They have shared visions simultaneously while working on people, and I had a vision my self when as they were working on me! Through experiences such as these, i KNOW with out a doubt that there is more potentcy when we come together.

Don't let fear discourage you, those of us with intentions of love and light will only maximize the healing efforts together in unisen.

not long ago i had a group of friends which i lived with but we have all gone different ways and each in our own way worries of losing the others. i think it is necessary for something to happen to help us have the room to grow and come back together. this came to mind and i wrote it in my pocket journal and then posted it here because i felt it to be good words for all.

this sounds great, do you know if there is an actual proto type? I am going into environmental science my self to focus on alternative energy and eco friendly energy efficant housing. there is so much great technology out there which is a good thing since the industrial revolution has created such a need for green changes.

it has also been my opinion that the bible like so many other holy books is mainly if not completely symbolic. Knowledge is power and it has been shared and kept secret for eons. When i read theological types of literture i find a common thread of universal truth that those who wrote it are trying to explain but even in my own experiences it is hard to articulate what i see or comprehend on a more subtle level. symbolism helps conscious beings to relate information to each other and the ones that take it literally just don't get it. Its just too bad that their ignorance has created more wars and deaths than any other cause.

i am reading the Dhammapada and the intro is nearly as long as the text itself. There are many good quotes in the intro but this one i really like, an old Indian prayer:

it is good to hear that. i think it is unfortunate that christian communities often interpret the world through a very narrow scope. they are told and believe that if you participate in church and listen to what your preacher says you will be ok, i only wish that more christians would try and expand thier views, read books that are not prescribed. you know i hearda man who takes himself to be very religious say that the only book that he has read in the past year was the bible and he was quite proud of that. i think that learning the ways of others is an excellent way to be a better christian and can give perspective on your own beliefs and another necessary trait is a willingness to change your mind, to think new things or think about old ideas in new ways. a friend of mine asked me to goto church with her and her husband a few years ago, though my friends were suprised that i was willing to goto a christian church i am not suprised at all. inspire by the sermon i started a conversation on the way home. her husband had said that god came to earth in the form of jesus to give us a message and that whole thing. and i wondered "when did god leave the earth to have to send a man to give us a message?" he didnt like the idea that i thought that god is all things, and that jesus whatever he may be is not god incarnate any more than any of us could potentially be. he got angry and i was having a good conversation. needless to say there wasnt much more to say on the matter. :) i now believe jesus is a symbol, and archetype to use Jung's terminology. he is indeed an example as buddha and krishna are examples of principles that are indeed active in this world yet are not singular or supreme. and i would go on to say that any of us could embody the christ if we would seek such. did jesus exist, who knows. what is written however is not a historical account, in my opinion. and everyone of us can be the sons and daughters of gods.
you mentioned that christianity can be seen in paganism, though i find paganism a vastly broad term i think i know what you mean. i have read that early christians in rome used the underground temple built for worship of Mithras, an older persian deity who is associated with the sun(son).
