AX: Exploration

“We must not cease from exploration. And the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we began and to know the place for the first time.” ~ Thomas Stearnes Elliot

In which area of your life have you became an expert? Have you ceased from exploration?

Maybe it's time to get to know “the place” again… for the first time…

Do you know what you don't know?

Only exploration holds the answer… & the question.

Go on, start your personal Quest for Clarity & post your questions here ;-)

Abstract from my Beyond Possibilities™ Study Skills System [BP3S]

What makes a question useful? Useful questions are the ones that open up new possibilities and allow us to co-create new realities. Why do we have a tendency to avoid asking these questions? We have vested interest or sunken costs in our current reality. We rather hide within our comfort zone and be limited by our imaginary boundaries than expand our possibilities and risk any discomfort and tension.

Questions determine the quality of your thinking, which leads on to the quality of your decisions, actions, and results.

Leonardo da Vinci is recognized as one of the greatest geniuses of all time. He had an insatiably curious approach to life and an unrelenting quest for continuous learning.

The following journal exercise helps you develop self-awareness and discover clarity.

88 Questions
Find a comfortable place, sit down, and write a list of 88 questions that are interesting or important to you. Review the list and choose the top 8 according to their importance at this moment in your life. Go play & discover the answers to your questions!

Albert Einstein said that ”Imagination is more important than knowledge.” & Nancy Willard said that “Sometimes questions are more important than answers.” If I may add something… I'd like to suggest that ”Questions are more important than Answers, Always!

EnJOY!

Maybe these guys from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy would agree with me?

Arthur Dent: Just wait a sodding minute! You want a question that goes with the answer for 42? Well, how about what's six times seven? Or how many Vogons does it take to change a lightbulb? Here's one! How many roads must a man walk down?
Lunkwill: Hey, that's not bad!
Arthur Dent: Fine. Fine, take it. Because my head is filled with questions and I can assure you no answer to any one of them has ever brought me one iota of happiness. Except for one. The one. The only question I've ever wanted an answer to - is she the one? The answer bloody well isn't forty-two, it's yes. Undoubtedly, unequivocally, unabashadly yes. And for one week, one week in my sad little blip of an existence, it made me happy.
Trillian: That's a good answer…
Lunkwill: Rubbish, we don't want to be happy, we want to be famous!
Fook: Yeah! What is all this “is she the one” tripe?
Lunkwill: Take his brain!

& here's something I'd appreciate some co-exploration…

“Everyone has talent. What is rare is the courage to follow the talent to the dark place where it leads.” ~ Erica Jong

What do you think Erica Jong had in mind when she said this?

My interpretation is encapsulated in one these artworks from my album… can you guess which one?

Alex,

I looked at your photo gallery but thought it could possibly be a few of them.  Sooooo…..I didn't end up choosing one.

I think she means that we will find our greatest gift when we are willing to face the depth of our shadow self.  Our greatest gift is also our greatest weakness.

An expert? That would seem rather selfish to address without thorough comparison with other. I don't think I am an expert in anything. I do think however that I think about the world, and can see the world in a rather Unique way.

The day one ceases to explore is the day one grows bored of death, This can happen both in lifetime and in death. It is usually when one has found a way to detain themselves from all forms of society, nature and dreams. Possible, but hard. ;)

I know I don't know much about chinese languages and such. And I know I do not know what women see in me. I also know I do not know many things, but only few I can come up with. (that is the idea ;))

And Irony, as I once qouted: ' The best answer is usually a question'

:) Fantasy, ingenuity, understanding. To defy even oneself. To question the very basic things we are and we do every day. To see ourselves not as a tool, but as just another question…

That is exploring :D
