The Oceans of our Human Souls

Ali said Jul 17, 2006, 1:29 AM:

Close your eyes and imagine diving into a crash of white, foamy waves. Floating in an underwater body of cobalt blue, the wet salt stimulates your skin. You are exhilarated…you are calm.

In moments like this, an inner intelligence speaks to our cells and awakens the wisdom within. Our own bodies composed of 70-80% water, we ourselves are living human oceans. By the nature of our ocean-like existence, there will be days filled in ease, serenity and lucidity—yet there will equally be days filled with tumult, murk and chop. By coming to an understanding and acceptance of this, we can ride the energy of our personal passions without drowning in them. Observing the ocean, we learn to ebb and flow with the tide—to step into the currents of our heart, and trust that something larger is guiding us.

We can even begin to imagine our personal choices like that of a single drop of water. We can ask ourselves are our drops, our daily life choices, fueled by present passion or past programs? Perhaps we think of a drop of water, that single choice that we make, as weak and insignificant, until we unleash the power in thousands and millions of particles of water at the same time which demonstrate tremendous power and strength; like that of the ocean. “Most realize that a drop of water exists within the ocean but, few realize that the ocean exists within a drop.” Our individual choices enlivened by passion build upon themselves empowering all of humanity heal, uplift and evolve.

Beautiful analogies.  I love the ocean and always feel connected instantly when I am near it, so immediately when I visualized as you suggested I felt a calm and peacefulness and and inter-connectedness of all.
