Yes but you may be right about their character. We dont have to like them, they dont need to like us, you dont have to like me but we must watch the playoffs!
I dont think your wrong for disliking being spoken down to nobody does, I see the way many celebrities speak to us almost like we are children. I can see how that may be difficult to not do having screaming fans always around you thinking your farts are blessings from the gods, they may all assume we are this way. Especially the longer they've lived out of the spotlight.

Of course you are right Golden. And thank you for reminding me of my own arrogance. I guess that I was so enraged with the hyprocracy that it blinded me from the realization that any attention that creates positive reaction is indeed good, regardless of my feelings of the presenters.

Hey man I hear what your saying about celebrities it is a little annoying, but they do bring the cameras to issues once they focus on them. I don't like how we seem to be spoken down to by celebrities but its hard to blame them their careers are really ego driven which they bring to most of the charities they do, but it is still charity I'm sure the people who benefit will be grateful to get even a small piece of that money. Overall they do bring attention to issues that many others have been working on for years, I am grateful that they are now becoming popular topics of conversation. Lets let it benefit their egos and hit the ground running.

I do not have hang ups with money. Of course, there never seems to be enough of it in my house. But I believe that there are a lot of misconceptions about money. It being the root of all evil and the like.

Money is simple, as most everything in life. It is an energy, again as most everything in life. Can it be used for evil? Absolutely, if one believes in evil. I would suggest, instead, that it can be used negatively to extrapolate more negative energy and place it in different directions.

However, it can just as easily be used positively. For example, I watched American Idol collect 30 million dollars last night. There is supposed to be 15 million distributed here in the United States, and 15 million throughout other causes in the world.

My questions about this positive thing: 1) will it truly be distributed as it is supposed to? Or in reality, will American Idol claim, say 7 million of each half for "Management/distribution expenses". 2) if a 2 hour show can produce 30 million in aide, why does it take the government months to distribute as little as a million to people of the Katrina diasaster? 3) why do celebrity types act like their "presence" should be all they need to contribute? And why do people like Ellen portray that her contribution of $100,000 is so generous when her tax account turns it into $200,000 of tax deductions in the end to save her from paying income tax?

The real evil of money is the illusion and hyprocracy that people try to cram down the general publics throat about it while they drive expensive-gas guzzling vehicles, pay $45 for a plate that has a small portion of meat and a vegetable on it that half the time they end up throwing away because they have filled themselves previously with wines and liquors that costs hundreds of dollars.

Do not get me wrong, I believe you can assert your money energy the way you wish. But stop trying to sit in high places acting "green" while your hyprocratic ass is being everything but green behind the scenes. And even if that is the way you want to be, fine. But do not play into the hyprocracy, be what you are.

As me grandfather used to say, "Man up, boy! 'Tis a person of ill fate that stands in a pile of dung and complains how his neighbors smell...."

      Golden -

I meant to reply to you and inadvertently created the next post..

thank you for addressing the elephant in the room!

Money is our society's God, religion and global language.

As China and India catch up economically, we have a major opp to redream our planet. And incorporate some of their ancient Buddhist and cultural wisdom into economic evolution.

And it starts with you and me, speaking thruth and sharing love in all moments - to the best of our human capacity in the moment.

Let's get a movement going through this conversation - wealth beyond money!

To our prosperity and abundance in all forms,

Stu Zimmerman
