The first quote I do not agree with because he knew the secret and did not want to share it. The law of attraction. Like energy attracts like energy. Positive thoughts we bring positive things. |

My two favorite money quotes and still relevant today.
“Money is a new form of slavery, and distinguishable from the old simply by the fact that it is impersonal – that there is no human relation between master and slave.” - Leo Tolstoy “All of the perplexities, confusion, and distress in America arises, not from the defects of the Constitution or Confederation, not from want of honor or virtue, so much as from downright ignorance of the nature of coin, credit, and circulation.” – John Adams, Founding Father Hope the discussion her brings out much knowledge and enlightened thinking on money which is after all a man-made tool that needs to be a servant and not a master. |

dont mean to be a pain to you, but be careful of your quotes. John Adams was a Federalist, who believed in a strong central government. He used his presidential powers to lay the foundation for a central bank, which Hamilton ultimately built (an oversimplification, but basically correct). The quote you show was used to argue against the point you are trying to make. Adams would doubtless think that we (like Jefferson) misunderstand the use of currency and coin. |

(money) is a good servant but a bad master. ~Alexandre Dumas I am opposed to millionaires, but it would be dangerous to offer me the position. ~Mark Twain After a visit to the beach, it's hard to believe that we live in a material world. ~Pam Shaw So you think that money is the root of all evil. What then is the root of all money? ~Ayn Rand Money is neither my god nor my devil. It is a form of energy that tends to make us more of who we already are, whether it's greedy or loving. ~Dan Millman It is a kind of spiritual snobbery that makes people think they can be happy without money. ~Albert Camus |

Rick thanks for pointing John Adams's motives. Inspite of its use to the contrary (scaring govt reps about ignorance of people) the substance and meaning of the sentence regarding ignorance still stands. So you think that money is the root of all evil. What then is the root of all money? ~Ayn Rand Root of all money is collective belief or perception perpetuated by elite money power.Money is neither my god nor my devil. It is a form of energy that tends to make us more of who we already are, whether it's greedy or loving. ~Dan Millman If one understand the pernicious effect of compound interest on fiat money then money is really not that value neutral or innocently conceived. Is it? It is a kind of spiritual snobbery that makes people think they can be happy without money. ~Albert Camus If my basic survival needs are met with Basic Income, I am happy without money. So are many monks, mendicants, unemployeds and poors and especially children. |

“After centuries of calling for someone or some ritual or miracle to accomplish the impossible, Man has been unable to figure out that it must come from within his own awareness, and the empowering of himself, so that it can be accomplished. Instead, the self-empowerment urge was distorted into self-aggrandizement, and the result is seen all around you. ” |

So, say, we dumb you and I in the free world. Somewhere close to civilisation. And make sure, That I have my education, and my pocket knife. And you a million dollars. If you want to look at is seriously. What do you think is more important. Money and connections, Or skills and attitude? |

Skills and attitude , when they come together with a specific target in mind produce money and connections in the business world. Always have ( unless the skills are faulty, and the attitude is all wrong). The wealthy have expended MORE energy and effort to achieve thier financial freedom because they BELIEVE it's possible for them to do so, than the poor man sitting on the corner decrying his lot in life because he DID NOT believe it is possible for him to do and be better than his current circumstances. Now, if that poor man would expend HALF the energy on bettering his beliefs, as he does on criticizing the wealthy for being wealthy, he would soon be in thier company. It's all about “being”. What we are “being” is what manifests in the natural realm. |

I really don't have any idea exactly what your perception of being 'spiritually minded' is but I can assure you that those people you are speaking about who believe that in order to be in good spiritual health one must give up the earthly pleasures all of the perceived 'non-spiritual' beings out there have aren't really getting the whole picture. |

I dont see why anyone should have to choose between money , connections, skills or attitude I believe it possibly to have them all. I dont see anything integrated in any single one of those qualities but as a whole they seem balanced. |

Here are two less known quotes about the nature of money and banking. “We are completely dependant on the (centralized) commercial banks. Someone has to borrow every dollar in circulation, cash or credit. If the banks create ample synthetic money (through fractional reserve system) we are prosperous; if not we starve. We are absolutely without a permanent money system…It is the most important subject intelligent persons can investigate and reflect upon. It is so important that our present civilization may collapse unless it becomes widely understood and the defects remedied very soon” - Robert H. Hemphill, Atlanta Federal Reserve Bank, foreword to “100% Money” by Irving Fisher “The study of money, above all other fields in economics, is one in which complexity is used to disguise truth or to evade truth, not to reveal it. The process by which banks creates money is so simple that mind is repelled.” - John Kenneth Galbraith, Economist, in his book “Money: whence it came, where it Went” |

I agree with you Cheryl: We must have it all in order to be fulfilled if that is what we truly want. The LOA just allows us to know that we are our own lawgivers and if we can not accept our power and use it for greater we still are using it to create what we do got. Problem is that little old monkey mind that jumps in and says you can't be when we are declaring that we can be.—-I also agree that everyone should make a study of money and who really owns all of it in the physical. This information will sicken most but in order to change it we must aknowledge where we have been deceived in order to uncreate what we have allowed to be done to our money. |

I understand what you are saying about credit circulation and non permanent money system. I have a question about this has there ever been a permanent money system, to me money is just a form of energy that we exchange for goods and services. Its permanence is not ruely relevant since there is no permanence with anything, being wealthy and happy are mindsets they are a basis upon which outer things grow such as money, houses, vacactions etc. |
