This conference is about exploring awakening in very tangible ways. It is not theoretical, but rather a very personal and real examination of what may presently stand in the way of your own awakening.
In each moment, you can choose to try to control and understand the “dream” you live in, or to focus instead on awakening from that dream. For in that dream you remain a constant prisoner of your own mind, beliefs, thoughts and fears -- a character in your own story.
To awaken is why you came to earth. It is both your design function and birthright as a human being. Yet while your mind wants you to believe that talking, reading and thinking about awakening will result in your waking up, this journey is not an exercise in “getting better.” It is not easy or even logical.   There are no rules. It cannot be undertaken through intellectual exercises, discussions or concepts – for it embodies a surrender that transforms life itself.

A totem is any entity
that watches over or assists a group of people, such as a family, clan
or tribe. Some people choose to adopt a personal spirit/animal helper,
which has special meaning to them, and refer to this as a totem.

this workshop we will take a meditative journey to the queer spirit
realm - to explore and to find inspiration. Then you will create a
totem to take home in honor of your journey.

Thanks so much for this. I've read "Enlightenment" off and on for a few years and have used Zinio for a few more than that as a subscriber to U.S. News and World Report, Newsweek, Time, etc. but had lost touch with the account. It's a wonderful service and I love the idea of being a subscriber to "EnlightenNext" without having to contribute to the sacrifice of even more trees to do it. The internet is a very large part of my creative life and it's fitting to have a subscription to one of my favorite magazines just a click away.

Again, thanks for this free copy. I took the opportunity to subscribe as well and look forward to reading for a long time to come.

Dear Everyone,
I’m writing this short post to all of you who have contributed to the conversation on this pod over the past couple of years. We, the folks at what was then What Is Enlightenment? magazine, started the pod for people to engage beyond the pages of the magazine in meaningful spiritual inquiry. And many of you did, and broadly so! There are threads that cover as much territory as one might expect with a question like, “what is Enlightenment?”

We recently made some big changes, notably the name of the magazine itself, which as of last December is now called EnlightenNext. You can read more here about why this change came about. But because of this, and because the conversation on this pod has ranged so freely and widely, as well it should, we’re going let it go as a moderated pod, and let it be what it is, which is a pod for open-ended spiritual conversations as diverse as the members.

Altered States Posting Intuitive Exercises Jan 4, 3:00 PM Eastern

For several years I have been exploring and validating participants' intuition in group settings by way of my workshop exercises. Now, I use these experiences to connect with you and create new realities within the Healing Facilitators sister-pod, Altered States.

What is the objective in using intuitive exercises?

We have several objectives here.

1. We get to engage our collective intuitive ability to connect with each other.

2. We tap into our inner divine to view global experiences on infinite levels, in order to perceive why experiences happen, and how to use these experiences to create new realities - the natural order of Akashic (highest-good) Creation .

3. The inspiration we harvest during the discovery and validation of our intuitive abilitiy is used to focus our intent in benefiting the planet by healing collective consciousness.

How do the exercises work?

Every other week I create a global experience as an intuitive target, and that target or global experience is not revealed until the end of the second week.

What is a global experience?

Global experiences are real human experiences complete with memories, images, emotions, and facts which made an indelible impact on collective earth consciousness, in some way defining who we are as individuals even today.

What is an example global experience?

Here is an instance. If during the intuitive exercise, somone tunes into an American President and another tunes into the imagery of a shiny copper penny, and I reveal the experience as the Gettysburg Address; we can easily validate both intuitive impressions, because each share a legitimate tie to that global experience. Everyone agrees that the Gettysburg Address was a presidential address and Lincoln (on the penny) was giving a speech.

Why use global experiences as intuitive targets?

Global experiences are real events recorded in Collective Consciousness and within our cellular DNA. This means we all have access to the memories, images, emotions, and facts, which belong to that experience.

Also, it is easier to validate what you perceive.  Remember our previous example, The Gettysburg Address, where one participant 'picks up' on an American President and the other participant 'picks up' on a  copper penny?

Finally, each global experience is specifically chosen for its higher-purpose theme in order to provoke a deeply profound unfolding on many levels.

How do we process a global experience?

We use our intuitive abilities to shed light on these real life experiences in three different steps or perspectives.

What are the three perspectives or steps  in our intuitive process?

Step One (1).  I provide a brief pod cast with positive guided imagery. You listen to the podcast while tuning into the energy. Afterwards you will write down or journal what you picked up. In this step the information will come from the human individual perspective as if you are watching someone else experience it, but only in a way that is harmonious with your beliefs and personal knowledge of global experiences. When you are ready, you post these impressions as a reply to the thread provided, just as everyone else does. During this entire process, feel free to compare your impressions with those from others!

Step Two (2).   I provide a brief pod cast with positive guided imagery. You listen to the podcast while tuning into the energy. Afterwards you will write down or journal what you picked up. In this step the information will come from a collective consciousness perspective as if you are watching the experiences and perceiving impressions, which explain how a whole karmic group was affected by the same global experience. When you are ready, you post these impressions as a reply to the thread provided.

Step Three (3).  I provide a brief pod cast with positive guided imagery. You listen to the podcast while tuning into the energy. Afterwards you will write down or journal what you picked up. In this step the information will come from a divine perspective looking at the experiences through the eyes of the God/Goddess in you. In this step you not only record your impressions, but you prepare to personally participate in healing both individual and collective consciousness. When you are ready, you post these impressions, including how your inner divine guides you to heal and self-heal. This information is posted as a reply to the thread provided.

Metatelepathy happens when we blend these three perspectives to perceive from the Universal Mind. The entire process is brought together by the script I provide in the positive guided imagery for each of the three perspectives or steps. For each intuitive exercise, I post all three audio files (mp3), one audio file for each perspective or step. I will start giving the weekly exercises in January 2008. This should be fun and the results will be splendid!

In the meantime, the set-up will look like this (below). Click on the three steps in order to orient yourselves to how I present each meditative narative and to know where you will reply with each your intuitive impressions:

At first I offer one exercise every other week. Based on group participation and the amount of time people desire, I may change that time interval.  This works best when there are more participants, so persuade a friend to join us in this process.

When I reveal the intuitive target there will be a post-discussion on our collective impressions and how we interpret through higher-purpose perspective. This is an oppurtunity to collaborate in a special gathering with activists, healers, and visionaries from multiple generations coming together for open hearted communication and radical exploration of solutions to global issues.

Dec 7-9 2007 Meditation Mount, Ojai CA

What is interGen?

Its a new term, short for inter-generational, signifying the joining of peoples from multiple generations. This intergenerational collaboration will be an open, compassionate process modelling the ability to collectively hold a multiple of viewpoints and paradigms through circle discussion groups, heart storming, and experiential exercises.

If we gather multiple generations in one magnificent location, open to our shared brilliance and release set pattern so we breathe as one, we might awaken minds and enliven hearts to transform society. Wanna play?

Why is an intergenerational dialogue necessary?
Every generation has something crucial to add to the conversation. This dialogue acknowledges the wisdom inherent in all of us.

September 15th is Global Zaangha Day, and as a Zaadz
ambassador in Chicago I'm organizing our very own
Chicago Zaanga. I hope you can join us!

Zaangha (think: Sanskrit word sangha meaning
"association" or "assembly," usually of a "spiritual"
nature meets Zaadz!) are gatherings of Zaadzsters with
the intention of connecting, inspiring and empowering
one another to be the change and change the world in
the process. It would be great to come together and
meet other is this awesome network, to meet other
Chicago Zaadsters and have pictures to show off from
our Chicago Zaangha. Let's do this - spread the
word!
