CELEBRATING BIRTHDAYS - GAIA CALENDAR

So, celebrating birthdays is a very special & little-known way of Networking in our community. Sometimes a Discussion Group will keep a Birthday Calendar or have Birthday Celebration threads for a particular person. Sometimes someone will host a celebration on their blog featuring a birthday person. 

I love celebrating birthdays as an excuse for touching in with people. I wish I knew more people's birthdays here on Gaia. So, with encouragement from Meenakshi, I am setting up this thread. 

If you would like to let people know when your birthday date is, just post it as a reply to post UNDER the month of your birthday below. 

THIS THREAD IS FOR DATES ONLY. PLEASE DO CELEBRATING IDEAS HERE. In addition to the celebrating ideas above, you could just email the birthday person, or put it in your status.

So, don't post your birthday date here unless you are willing to have the whole community know it. And please, only your own birth date. Please don't post anyone else's. That's just courtesy & respect. I will delete any posts of anyone else's birth date but your own. 

And, the date is sufficient. The year, or your age, that's a more private matter unless you choose to share that with friends.

Any other suggestions for operating this calendar, please reply to this post at the bottom section called GENERAL DISCUSSIONS, separate from the months.

So, check back frequently as more & more members post here. I hope this will become Birthday Central for the whole community.

Hi Jagadish, hope you will “post reply” to the June post above, and we'll both be celebrating the same day!!

It would indeed be wonderful to know how people are planning to celebrate, but that would be just this year, and this list might go on for a bunch of years!

The main reason for posting only dates here is that when several hundred people are listed, reading each month's entries will be a challenge, so the less content the better. Does that make sense?

One of the main purposes of the thread is to encourage celebrations and discussions of our plans for our days, wherever those take place in Gaia: discussion Groups, or blogs, or whatever. I hope many such celebrations and sharings will spring forth from this thread's information!!

Lars that IS so funny, you know the street on the picture of the Ernst Jansz site, that is not only the street, but at the left also the exact spot where my girlfriend and her daughter (my daughter's girlfriend) lives. I've visited there many times and my daughter still stays over about every week.

Did you pick the guy random for his birthday or do you know who he is?  A  musician he was in at least two very popular dutch bands. I didn't know he was a writer as well. You 5/24/48 guys are a special kind!
