Featuring Nion - "mirror of the souls within"

We will be featuring Nion this week on Gaia Networking - he describes himself as “mirror of the souls within”.

He is a Business Consultant with a difference.  He loves writing, whether it's articles on spirituality or stories, or poetry - he rocks!

He comes straight from the heart with a large sparky presence.  He writes on his profile that he has fallen in love with the world and everything in it and we have fallen in love with him!

I really appreciate the chance to feature him on this week's thread.
We will be “letting go of setting goals, calling off the search for truth, and going with the flow just to see where it takes us”!

We will discover our ability to connect and learn, whether it's lightworking, NLP, business consultancy or a little poetry.

Our ability to share the love will burn forever bright…

Good day to you Gaians, and let me start by sending over my appreciation to Tai for this intro and for taking me along this feature. Tai rock's as well, I will start a haiku. So to all that will join us, let's fly with me and Tai :-)

Well, I am all of the above. Or perhaps I better rephrase that - I do all of the above. Business consultancy is my daily game during the week. In the evenings (and sometimes nights) my other creative side comes to the surface. Writing, exploring, connecting, energizing. Offcourse, all of my life benefits from that, even the the daily work in Business. I believe you use all the stuff your being has absorbed and all knowledge comin from that, it just folds onto itself.
More personal about me, is that I am married, very much and happy. No children of my own. It may sound crazy, but some children I encounter in my close environment, I feel their presence, and they see me in a special, mysterious kind of way. Maybe someone recognizes that.

Can you tell us what you most like about Gaia?   How are you helping to maintain/enhance it?  Looking for example at networking - are you finding it easy to find groups that blend well with your beliefs and soul energy….

Star Wars was a big deal for me for a very long time. I didn't realise I sounded like Luke. But you are right :-)
Every time I start watching these movies, I have to be there till the end.
It's not like that, however :-) But there is a connection, they look me straight into the eye.

What I most like about Gaia is it's atmosphere. The groups are very clear in intention, attracting the soul energy as you describe it. I found my groups very soon after becoming a member. Browsing is easy. You feel the “welcome”.

I am fairly new to the network, but I notice that Gaia is a unique place to which I would love to introduce some of my friends. They are, just as I am, looking for connecting without a certain “platform”, like business or a very narrow field of spiritual beliefs. You see that a lot in networking. The broadness and versatility of Gaia, combined with the embracing shell of the community, makes it alive with a soul and heart.

Maybe a new group can emerge in the future, for those who wish to disconnect from a platform, just being themselves. This group would be a gateway to the other worlds of Gaia. I'm dreaming out loud, but I like the idea thinking about the train station in The Matrix, where Neo is in between worlds.

I'm flowing and energised, just been drumming with my friend, she's great picks up the new rhythms - no problem!  I've known her for 15 years, we met on a massage course at the local college.  She does energy work too - we are both born in April, a few days apart and share loads of interests and have similar viewpoints….When is your birthday…did you know there was a birthday thread on Gaia Networking…

Hi there. My birthday is on the 21st of april. Makes my an Taurus with a three-vibration, which also occurs in my name. I celebrate in the company of a few friends. Just a barbecue and a few drinks. Or we go playing a game of pool or go bowling. Nice to be on the birthday thread.

A new group on Gaia. I was thinking out loud, but it's possible that Gaia grows to an extend that people need guidance to find the right place. A group that welcomes new members, showing them Gaia in a nutshell, maybe an awesome video that visualizes our (the people already in Gaia) experience.

For example, I can imagine that the group will then be cultivated by representatives of “The Power of Light”, “Gaia Networking”, “Questions and Reflections” and many more. New people are in the train station. They always choose their own destination, but all the information about the Gaia worlds is at their disposal. Just to help them decide. Once inside Gaia, connecting with groups is done the same as we do now.

Think of the new group as an information desk, but one in which you can connect with an experienced Gaian.

Hi Nion, I'm enjoying this thread. I'm wondering if you've visited the Gaia Lounge? Most newcomers who post, are welcomed by other members,ambassadors or team members. I heard that ~Mathew is working on  “how to” videos, but I'm wondering if that is the sort of group that you're envisaging? The way to do it seems different though, if I'm reading you right.

Nion -

Earlier in the discussion thread you mentioned that you are a 3.  I am making an assumption that you are a Life Path 3.  If my assumption is correct, here is some information about a person who vibrates to Life Path 3:

The Life Path 3 indicates that you entered this plane with a strong sense of creativity and with wonderful communication skills.  Achievement for you most likely comes through engaging your ingenious expression.  A truly gifted 3 possesses the most exceptional innovative skills, normally in the verbal realm, writing, speaking, acting, or similar endeavors.  Here we are apt to find the entertainers of the world, bright, effervescent, sparkling people with very optimistic attitudes.  The bright side of this path stresses harmony, beauty and pleasures; of sharing your inventive talents with the world.  Capturing your capability in creative self-expression is the highest level of attainment for this life path.

Life is generally lived to the fullest, often without much worry about tomorrow.  Typically, Life Path 3's are not very good at handling simply because of a general lack of concern about it.  You spend it when you have it and don't when you do not.

That said …

I have not yet visited the Gaia Lounge.  Not because I'm not interested, but because I hesitate to join more groups than I can participate in and add value to.  I'm curious to know if you have visited there yet?

Kathy, thanks for posting the pic. In the background is our dog Terra. She's a Bordeaux dog, from the type of the movie Turner and Hooch. Th females have a finer build. But it is the sweetest animal. Loyal, playful, loving and calm.

Question from Tai: What would you advise someone who is joining Gaia today Nion….was there anything you had problems with….

I did go to the Gaia lounge right away, to take a look there. The Power of Light was pulling, but I stayed just to get to know some of the people. Gaia has a clear and intuitive interface, for me. That makes it easy to explore Gaia. The Lounge is a good place to breath in the atmosphere a little. I would advise someone that knows exactly where to go, to just go, like Laurie did. Others may have a wider spread vibe that needs different input. The lounge is very suitable then to mingle.
The new group I mentioned, is a more in depth approach for people that need some help in conversation, sharing personal things, and where they can best do that. Some that are online, carry a very heavy load. More direction would be comforting and maybe protecting them from sharing “too much”.

When I first explained, I realise that I was decribing the Lounge, in the future when there is more to Gaia, a world expanding. But with expansion comes more souls, drawn from everywhere. More souls need more attention. The new group can have the role of preparation. Maybe it shouldn't be a new group, but a additive of the Lounge.

Inviting others, sure. You sense it when someone is eager to contribute or enhance his or her environment. However, don't forget the silent ones. Sometimes the long awaited new flavour can come from an unexpected angle.

By the way, I am the silent type in verbal conversations. Depending on the subject, the pace is either very quick or I slow down the pace and go deeper into my own space. People often need some time to get used to that. When the pace slows down, it's just like the distance from the surface becomes larger. More water to transmit the waves. I'm just writing this from nowhere. Strange, but revealing.

Nion, such a good point about silent ones. We really know someone when we know their silence; and yet - in an online community it's quite a challenge, isn't it? How to take those who aren't writing?

We;ve had several discussions in this and other groups about Blogs with multiple views and few comments - the blogger gets uncomfortable. Group members who don't write - group cultivators/moderators wonder if they need to do something else.
Group cultivators/mods who don't write - members wonder if the group is active!!!

I wonder what your take is on this?

I live in a small town in The Netherlands (I'm not sure it shows on my profile). We had Terra since she was a puppy. She's in her fourth year now. We also have two horses. Lance and Arie. My wife loves and rides them. I just love them :-)

I tend to think about things like that – my purpose I mean. That's also my trap. I am feeling trapped more often these days. Because I am my own trap :-) I am getting to know me better I think. Inside my head, another feature is going on.

Entrapment in thinking in past, present and future. I often listened to the guru's telling about what happens to you. I understand what they say, but understanding what they mean is a different ballgame. I am playing and havng fun most of the time. When I'm not having fun, something big will occur soon. It's a rollercoaster.

My purpose has something to do with sharing and giving what I have to give by just being here. And when I'm here, I like to write to you guyz and dolls about you, me, Gaia, the world, how great I think you are, how this place helps making me a rich man.

Hi Nino! I had a moment this afternoon to stop by your feature thread. It's a great time over here! I love reading about how you think about your purpose a lot, so much that it becomes a trap. I know exactly what you mean. The more “menting” you do about purpose, the less purpose manifests, I think. It's like that dancer in the movie above.

I'm so pleased to have seen that today of all days. I went to a local outdoor art festival today and they usually have performance art and dance troupes. Not this year, and I really missed it. The performance art is what makes these festivals really fun! The universe gave me a gift by nudging me here today.

So, her purpose exudes in her dancing. If all she did was think about dancing, (lol like me) then she wouldn't be exuding purpose when she dances because she'd be out of practice. I was a performing dancer in an amateur ballet company in my teens. But now I don't dance at all. Could I say dancing is my purpose now? No, I don't feel I can. They say, “don't think, just do!”

Well, they also say about dancing, “If you CAN, DO. If you can't, TEACH!”

Giving a score to something that surrounds you, lives in you, has appeared in your life because of attracting postive energy, that would be a 10 Tai.

Scoring I can do for the way it influences ones life. Where 1 would be no influence whatsoever. 10 would be an absolute spiritual awakening. I think most people becoming a member here have already reached a certain state of awareness. My score would be somewhere between 7 and 8. Because I discovered something wonderful, something I had never seen before I joined Gaia. My blog entry “So Amazed” was my first impression. And me being impressed remains.

My presence online is often affected by the time I have at home. The last few weeks I didn't have much time. There are times I like to write stories and poetry. Then I'm a little less visible on the net.

I have one amazing experience in the case of impact on my presence from my offline life. I have found Gaia through meditation, not by searching on the net. That is a fact, the spiritual guide Vayla popped up in my consciousness and pulled me in. I posted a thread in the Power of Light introductions. I will make a link once I have found out how too :-)

So in that way, my offline life had a big impact on my presence here.

What Meenakshi said about blogs without comments but multiple views, silent ones that don't write. It's indeed difficult to spot someone that reads, but doesn't write.

I guess not everyone wants to respond in a direct way.  For instance, Person B has read a blog entry from person A and takes and understands the message.  Later on, person B writes an entry her/himself which carries the response to the entry of person A.  I have seen it, even experienced it, with poetry.  Poetry can be a language to communicate on another level.  It bypasses the dialog where there is the “danger” or “risk” of exchanging viewpoints and getting drawn into discussions. Some people just can't follow. This has nothing to do with a lack of understanding or ignorance. These people have such a crystal purity, they just can't stand disharmony. Their innocence and loving care is really heartbreaking to me.

How to spot them. It's synchronicity. When it must happen, it happens.

Meditation is such a wonderful aid to finding our own “original” self … poetry, I believe, speaks directly to the heart, it seeks a place to settle deep inside us and flowers, sending love to just where it is needed…
There are some wonderful meditations in the Power of Light Group here on Gaia..

Hey, Nion, after you answer Tai's last questions, how about this one: Let's stir up some interest in a very obscure movie we both like: (in English) The Big Blue.

What do you like about it?? To me it was a profound spiritual metaphor, and that last scene was mind-blowing. So few movies can be viewed on levels of meaning, and this one I felt was more than the surface story (ha, no pun intended).

I use all of them, except for quotes and bookmarks. I didn't take time yet for those. because I got hold up on the poetry, sharing light power and doing some Q&R. What I am curious about, is the seedbank. You can send seeds to someone or  to a post maybe? I haven't tried that yet and I'm wondering if anyone uses the seedbank.

The grapevine is cool for dropping in, leaving a short message. Email I use frequently for invitations and a personal message here and there. It's how Tai and I did a little vibing and tuning in, in order to prepare for the feature :-) On the blogs, I often notice there is a way you can link a post from a thread in as a blogentry. I didn't try that yet. It's cool for me, because I spend most of my time in pods.

I've never used bookmarks either! but use the seedbank on a regular basis - when I grapevine I sow “love seeds”, it feels good doing that, you can tune in and say “hi” on an energetic level, which helps with our connections here on Gaia…

Which pods are you involved in Nion and could you explain your role in them…..do you post, read, read and post or are you a moderator on any of the pods you are a member of…

Nion -

I use seeds all the time.  I spread them, dump them and fling them liberally.  The object of the game is to NOT have any.  It's hysterical in that I empty my 'bucket' every night and always wake up to more.

Back in the day, Gaia was Zaads (I believe this is the Dutch word for seeds).  That's where the idea of seeds on this wonderful site comes from.

You can only give up to 5 seeds to a person on their Profile Page.  However, you can really shower them with seeds on on their blogs.  You can use the “I endorse this' button to bestow a seed.  You can press that button up to five times (or less, if you have fewer than 5 seeds in your bucket).
