Thank you Lee; I wish all happy holidays and a Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it. In our household, it is a time of personal celebration as well as my parents celebrate their wedding anniversary and an uncle was born on this day.

Welcome to Gaia Networking Ace. Thanks for sharing your on line experience. I knew of neopets. My friend Doug Dohring sold it but the original intention for children was great. School comes first over any networking but checking in once a week doesn't interfere just to answer mail and post a blog & put notes to your groups. You can set the RSS to have things come to your e mail so you can handle all traffic at your convenience. I love actors and feel free to write to me anytime about free tips.

Hello! I just joined the group and thought this would be a great place to post!
I read about Zaadz in Science of Mind magazine when I picked it up at the bookstore one day. I picked it up because Melissa Etheridge was on the cover and I am a big fan of her music. I got on to Zaadz when I got home and joined because it didn't feel like all the MySpace and Facebook places, it felt really cool and comfortable and it had a purpose which is more than can be said for the other two I just mentioned.

Being a young person, I had actualy been on a social network aimed at kids, it was called Neopets which some of you probably know about if you have kids or have seen products in the stores related to it. I liked it there but it was confusing sometimes. There was a problem with adult guys getting on and talking to kids that made it onto the news on the radio and I got off before I got into somethng I shouldn't.

I think they've fixed that problem and seperated the adults or put an age limit to user accounts, I haven't checked.

I like how Zaadz has changed to Gaia but I could do without all the annoying ads everywhere! LOL

At first I thought blogging was dumb but learned in the activism field that a blog could be turned into a sort of online magazine run by you, bringing attention to issues and topics of interest to you and people that friend you or just pay attention to your blog. I liked the sound of that.

I am in college to become an actor in the theatre and I have read books on managing your career like a small business and how blogging about yourself as far as professional updates or fun sneak peeks at shows your working in is actually a positive thing and I plan to be doing that in the future as well.
