ohmsmom said ok while thinking about chocolate covered anything, this popped into my mind, we are the box of crayons! no matter what color you pick or whether you are inside the box or outside the box, a bit worn, or still to be put to used, each crayon is made of the same stuff! sure the crayons might create different images, some may even be put to other uses, such as transformation to candles or science projects, but still each precious crayon, came from the same box, and was made from the same stuff; and the sharpener on the side of the box, well perhaps it is just an illusion :) i am left with one question though…………..once one is a crayon is one always a crayon? oh yes, and can somebody please pass the black, i need to do some outlining here.

I think once we are a crayon, we are always a crayon… think about it.. we are all the same stuff, we can create a beautiful world with our colors… we can mix our colors and come up with new colors… but most important… we are all one family… spreading our colorful joy together…. ok.. you can cross all the lines now.. dave, thank you for erasing the boundaries, leaving no lines to cross. i guess we all have erasers on the end of our crayons, leaving room to rethink, and recreate at anytime.

There is a special ingredient that can make magic crayons, so your crayon can produce any color you like.. just by closing your eyes and visualizing what you want it to be.

ItsWill said This deserves a permalink. The entire thread has put a love in my heart and a child in my eye the likes of which nothing has done today…even though, looking back on the events, it should have been an amazing one.

I feel like I walked into a room where you all have pulled out your mats for the nap, whispering in the corners and giggling as though nobody else can hear. Tiny fists clutch one last crayon, the box is dumped and an array of activity has been ceased mid-project. I tread lightly between the little beings, almost tipping the remants of orangecrushlemonade with two or three cherries floating among the ice cubes, breathing a sigh of relief that I won't wake you all with shattering glass. I leave an earth-tone “Bhutan” brand shoeprint near the end of the rainbow, smiling at the muti-hued tie-dye message of love scrawled across the sky.

If I had my own crayon, it would be white. I would either draw a Stay-Puffed Marshmellow man along the southeastern side of Iran to absorb medium and long range missles, or I would simply color over them mid-flight so they looked like medium and long range clouds. With a grin at the memory of so many times spent in a naughty chair during my own kindergarten nap times, always talking too much, I ponder if I should be learning Farsi rather than Arabic.

On both the canvases of Tibet and Darfur, I'm adding my rainbow of colors of prayer flags, whispering a prayer for global peace and a prayer for gratitude for this crayon for global peace community. Thanks for a sip through a chartreuse straw of the orange orange-crush lemonade with indigo ice cubes, and thankfully caught one cherry left floating at the bottom. Here's a top up of mango yoghurt drink (local name lassi) accented with Dave's favorite cherry and a sprinkling of dark chocolate chips (ohmsmom and my favorite) and added another fatter hot pink straw.

Amber said I don't believe I've ever seen a mountain with a rainbow above it, a peaceful Darfur in the valley before it, or a tibetan sunset of hope softening all the mad colors of Hot Magenta ju jubes, Hot pink Popeye cigarettes, bright orange crush, lime green. and flashy purple sweet tarts, and yellow/green/gold gummie bears all piled up under the autumn trees of orange and yellow/green/gold at the base of the mountain! What a delightful sight!

I believe in what was created on the paper but I'm also seeing color washing out war and hopelessness all around the edges of the coloring book! Thankfully none of us is 'adult' enough to color inside the lines and some of us let slip some of this goodness off the pages.

Does anyone else remember the day members joined together to color a world with crayons? That thread brought back all of these latent childhood joys, for me. It was amazing to read. I hadn't logged on until late, after all of you children had been napping for awhile...but, outside of the everyday positive pick-me-ups and spiritual interactions, that thread hit me with more impact than anything else I have as-of-yet explored in this vast, virtual community of joy and Love.

Welcome to Gaia Networking Ace. Thanks for sharing your on line experience. I knew of neopets. My friend Doug Dohring sold it but the original intention for children was great. School comes first over any networking but checking in once a week doesn't interfere just to answer mail and post a blog & put notes to your groups. You can set the RSS to have things come to your e mail so you can handle all traffic at your convenience. I love actors and feel free to write to me anytime about free tips.
