wow. i just rediscovered the joy of childhood :~)

today, I brought out the trampoline from the 'forest' and onto the jetty near the deep water. ever since i brought it out there, i wished to strap some floaters and put her in the sea so I could jump on the water. Next to the water off the jetty is the next best thing :~)

wow. i mean, wooohhoooooo! yeeeeehaaaww. what energy! what amazing views while jumping! what awesome photograph opportunities! what amazing thrills and adrenaline from jumping / diving / flipping off the trampoline!

highly recommended for eco adventure resorts!!! (be cautious though!!!) Jedi's and Jedi apprentices only ;~)

Thank YOU for visiting and taking your friends with you.

It's funny how people begin to change when the experience the thrill of being in nature and at its mercy... Slowly, it awakens wonder, appreciation, and the discovery of a whole other world. In a sense, it can awaken people to the beauty, perfection, and miracle of Nature and opens up spiritual feelings that people may not recognize immediately, but ones that grow over time.

The reef has a way of growing back, so don't worry too much about landing the wooden boat on it - it's happened before and we're working on setting up markers to point out the path there so that folks can get to the deserted island and back at night, but I think you learned some good lessons that night :~)

am headed there this weekend with a small group and looking forward to it. Even in the 25 or so times I've been there, it seems there's always a new discovery... a new species, a new beach, a different sunset, an enlightening conversation, etc... it's amazing...

The owner thinks there are portals on the island that are gateways into heaven... maybe that's why it feels like paradise hmm?

anyhow, thanks again for making the journey and am looking forward to being there with you on the next visit!!

I had the priviledge of hosting three of my friends to Macan island this past weekend..

Besides the fact that half of the group got stung by bulu babi and I managed to have the wooden boat got stuck on a coral reef, it was such an awesome adventure...

The nicest part about it is that I get to show my colleagues what you have shown me...

It is amazing how infectious the feeling of appreaciating nature when you're actually one with it... And after appreciating nature, hopefully the next step is that my friends will grow the concious of conserving it, and understand the purpose of eco-tourism...

The trip has made the capitalist bankers and insurance underwriters to be somewhat more of councious capitalist bankers and insurance underwriters :)

So, I would like to say thank you for letting me host my friends on the island and have them "flow" and get out of their daily routines...

We are already planning our next visit, and hope you can join us this time

Eco Motocross Adventures

Just came back from an awesome adventure in the south west of Java.

Not necessarily totally an eco adventure but one of those that inspires. It was like we were in a movie. An international group of guys and gals, riding through small streets and inbetween rubber and palm oil plantations through the mountains and down to the beach.

We stayed in a wooden villa overlooking the bay with gorgeous views of the bamboo platforms the local fisherman use at night.

I had a vision of using these motocross bikes to work with the police at tracking illegal logging. The country side is being changed and more and more plantations are springing up. More and more trees are being cut down. And some of this is definitely illegal, and some of the illegal harvesting of trees is in complicity with the security / authority bodies.

One way to make an eco adventure using motocross bikes more of an ECO adventure :~) The tracks we discovered would be great for mountain biking too though!

The aspect of motocross riding that I love is the adrenaline... rushing through the dirt and having to maintain absolute full focus on everything coming at you... your brain working at a thousand miles an hour and being so in the zone that all other concerns, worries, questions, etc, vaporize and you're in the MOMENT.

If they were solar powered and didn't make so much noise, that would be all the better. he he he... let's see if we can do that hmm?

United Adventures, my eco adventure enterprise, is currently working on setting up these motocross adventures around West Java. Visiting far off villages to provide needed medical supplies.

Drigo What a question you ask! When it comes down to it to be able to have lots of time for the important aspects like Sunlight and beaching it and the time to see and feel. it does not sound exciting but after 20 foot waves in windsurfing and pioneering wild dolphin work and big wave bodysurfing adn hang gliding (years ago) I am interested in regeneration and abundance.... Your vision is unique. Sun

I'm not so adventurous. If I could pick an adventure it would probably be something simple, like diving a healthy reef and taking pictures and video. Or visiting jungle. More eco than adventure I guess.

ok... i really love that vision for eco-place and to make it around the world... as that is relaly my true adventure... to create centers, communites, villages, cities... i dont care about the name... but that they are everywhere and open for all including those rebelious street kids who cannot fit into the current controlling schooling system so end up outside....

i shared this vision with a few pods here so i would like to have it here too... when u guys get a chance to read and lets us combine and work together......

Where things are made for the pleasure and joy of others, where things are received for the pleasure of receiving and being able to give. Exchanging gratitude for a lesson in the understanding of emotions and feelings, where being taught how to identify with and observe the sensation of feelings within your body.

For me, it's a combination of adventures...

One awesome adventure is sailing, and everything in between. Deserted islands. Awesome culture witnessing and engagement. Snorkeling. Fishing. Reading a book on the sundeck. Harnessing the power of the wind. Eating yummy food. Watching the stars. Navigating.

Here's another one. Start at the top of a mountain. Paraglide, Handglide, or cliff jump. Get down to a mountain bike. Ride for 47 minutes. Jump, Skid. Wipe out, maybe. Then get to the river. Get a life jacket on, and jump in a raft or canoe. Paddle down river, through rapids. Get to an awesome spot along the river bank, and set camp. Barbeque. Sleep overnight at comfy camp.

What's your dream adventure? One of those things you always wished you could do as a kid, or more to the point, wish you could do now?
