&lt;p&gt;      WWOOF&amp;#39;ing is a great way to visit eco-oriented communities and not have to pay too much in the process. You can check out the wwoof wesbite, also www.organicvolunteers.org is a good one - less expensive to join. It involves working for food and shelter usually, but hey work is good for the soul. &lt;/p&gt;
