Hi Marc,
One of the resorts we're building is situated on an 12 hectare organic farm in the foothills of West Java. We use a basic pesticide that is comprised of ginger, garlic, and organically grown dried tobacco leaves. A mixture of the aforesaid is boiled and then put into applicators - to spray on the veggies.
The fertilizer is a big, if not major component. We use goat poop (organic), and composting.
Not sure if this helps but please stay in touch with us re your research and we'd be more than happy to exchange info.
My email is unitedadventures@yahoo.com, and my enterprise partner / farmer is named Jocean Bowler and can be reached at joceanb@yahoo.com.
Cheers, and thanks for sharing your thoughts…
Our model for resorts includes an organic farm on every property that can sustain a community of 50 or so people…
any thoughts on the best way to do that? or anyone else, for that matter?

p.s. organic is just a buzz word… like eco or green… the question is, from my perspective, how to grow veggies and food that is optimal for our health and through a process that is in harmony with nature?
