Nadia,
Thank YOU for visiting and taking your friends with you.
It's funny how people begin to change when the experience the thrill of being in nature and at its mercy… Slowly, it awakens wonder, appreciation, and the discovery of a whole other world. In a sense, it can awaken people to the beauty, perfection, and miracle of Nature and opens up spiritual feelings that people may not recognize immediately, but ones that grow over time.
The reef has a way of growing back, so don't worry too much about landing the wooden boat on it - it's happened before and we're working on setting up markers to point out the path there so that folks can get to the deserted island and back at night, but I think you learned some good lessons that night :~)
am headed there this weekend with a small group and looking forward to it. Even in the 25 or so times I've been there, it seems there's always a new discovery… a new species, a new beach, a different sunset, an enlightening conversation, etc… it's amazing…
The owner thinks there are portals on the island that are gateways into heaven… maybe that's why it feels like paradise hmm?
anyhow, thanks again for making the journey and am looking forward to being there with you on the next visit!!
cheers,
~drigo
