Running injuries

graham said Feb 24, 2007, 6:55 PM:

I'm hoping someone can make a recommendation for my hamstring issues. I train 6 day sa week cycling and running and about 3 weeks ago I felt an increasingly annoying tightness in my left hamstring. I ended up quitting the running and cycling until the hammy heals up. It's bee 16 days and it's no longer as tight but now soar and tingly. I'm thinking it's probably past the worst stage but don't want to aggrivate it and ensure it heals appropriately. If anyone has encountered such a situation please feel free to throw down your recommendation.

Thanks!
Graham

this is a little late, but it's a subject close to my heart.

my suggestion is to exercise for fun, not training.

listen to your body before it forces the issue with injury.

and now that you have an injury, use that as an opportunity to study how your body heals and rejuvenates itself.  seek various other healing modalities, reiki, acupuncture, acupressure, ayurveda, nutrition, whatever the universe brings to you.

hope that helps somebody,
