1Vector3 : "Relentless Wisdom"
1Vector3 I I heard that movie attendance in the US is UP despite economic hard times. I assume people get tired of being at home watching DVD's and want to GO OUT and be entertained. What do you think? (8 months ago)

What can you do in Community Film Picks pod/Group?

1Vector3 said Nov 11, 2007, 12:11 AM:

1. Add your opinions about our featured new and old Featured Films of the Week Board, read what others say.

2. Write anything about any film you care to write about, and read others' input. (“What Are You Watching?” Board) We have 3 (only 3, to keep life simple) subcategories Boards: Consciousness-Raising/Inspiring/Uplifting films, Spiritual/Religious/Paranormal Films, and Documentaries.)

3. Sound off about movies, films, stars, the industry, whatever. List points of possible pressure we could apply to movie-making decision-makers. (Water Cooler Board

4. Call attention to special viewings available in your area. Also list ongoingly available sources of movie reviews you are aware of, local or not, such as from the website of your local newspaper, or other websites. (Bulletin  Board

5. Add ideas to make the pod/Group more useful on Pod Improvement Suggestions Board.

6. Introduce yourself as a film-viewer, tell others your preferences, the meaning of  films in your life, etc. As part of this, you may invite folks to visit your profile and peruse your Movies list!  (Introductions Board)

7. We do not want to be country-centric or language-centric, so input from Gaia Community Members about non-English-language films, and non-Western-produced films, is welcome, on our International Board.  [We organize this by language, not by country. Please start a new thread for each language and stick to that thread for all postings about films in that language.]

8. Talk about TV shows/movies on our Television Board.

9. You are not restricted to brief reviews and comments. Feel free to discuss at length, analyze, compare, philosophize. If you are referring to more than a couple-three films, you might use the Water Cooler or plunk your discussion where you think it fits.
