Saying Hello

Ed said Oct 28, 2006, 6:20 AM:

Hi!
I'm Ed and I'd like to hang with this pod for a bit.   My most recent test with Meiers-Briggs came up with INFP, but I'm more naturally INFJ.   I favor Jungian psychology and I'm sort of a wandering gnostic working on developing my inner abilities and clarifying my path.   I use AngeLynx dvination cards (currently on the Chicago market - based on language association).   In the recent past, I was a college-level math tutor and I saw my gift in an ability to read into people and see/feel their thinking process and facilitate growth and learning.   In short, I'm working on developing my latent gift and putting myself in the proper niche.   I've enjoyed hanging out with cool zaadz people and I'd like to get to know this pod.

Hi, my name is Michael Sheppard.  I am an iNFp, no doubt about it, probably an early Indigo too though that business is a bit shaky.

I have lived from the beginning with this BURNING desire to change the world.  I absolutely friggin' know, and will not rest until I have left the imprint of my message.  I have dialed myself down a ton, learned how to listen, be “polite”, and am becoming more willing to be accountable.  I am the one who maintains almost every relationship I have.  If I did not call my friends and reach out, I believe I would be utterly alone in this world except for the IRS.  I really don't care if the entire world disagrees with me or is apathetic about my message.  It does not matter to me though I admit that my inclusion and acceptance in friend groups, professional societies, and spiritual circles means something definite to me.  But it still does not matter to my fundamental drives and intentions.

I have been lately circling more and more tightly around the world of the Shadow.  I am very big on Story, my story in particular and the importance of replacing the bullshit I have poisoned it with, for the Truth which I am only beginning to understand - then to the Shadow work and full-fledged integration.  I expect my true voice will emerge and I should have a lot easier time with the imprint thing.

More later, glad to be here for now.

Cheers,
Michael

hey Michael (and everyone)

imagine meeting you here………..
I had the same burning desire, and still have somewhat of a “mighty mouse” complex (here I come to save the day…………..!!)  If I was honest, I'd have to say that I still consider myself some kind of moral authority!  Intolerant of intolerance!  judgemental of nothing but those who are judgemental!!  sigh….

but, like you said (and like Byron Katie says) its all my story.

I had my last night at my horrid job at the prison tonight.  I just couldn't survive there, my little sensitive nature (hsp, too)  i had that amazing feeling as i finally got through several doors and gates to the last 2 gates…. got through one and thought (rising excitement) just one more gate and I'm FREE!!  Then got out and gave a few happy whoopees…..  damn.

my infp-ness is one of the things that made it worse for me, of course.  Just want to let myself be calm now…  get my peace back.  I've started toward this in the last 2 weeks, and the new job really fell in my lap, so I know it is part of my process………

anyway, good to see you here.  its peaceful!

nighty night
Shannon

Dear Shannon,

Great to hear from you again!

I'm so happy for you and your new adventure. I love it - the job 'falling into your lap'. I was revisiting some older Caroline Myss tapes earlier today and she was talking about just that in one section (about losing our power to a job we hate etc. and not questioning how you will find another one if you quit etc. Faith). Then I came here tonight and read your post.

Beautiful synchronicity. I love it. What is this telling _me_ now? ;-)

Sweet dreams,
mu

Welcome Michael,

So glad you have joined us. Great post.

Jungian type shadow work stuff or Integral or some other? I ask because I hear people saying stuff about working with the shadow and I have learned that it means different things to different people. Interesting stuff either way.

Hope to hear more from you..
All the best,
mu

Hello Powerful Ones,

I'm Dylan and I just joined this pod.  I am an idealist, perhaps to a fault…I believe that just because there has never been a Utopian society, dosen't mean that it is impossible to create.  Just because the world has never lived at peace, dosn't mean it's impossible.  Just because all peoples have never been equal regardless of gender, race, religion, sexual orientation or national origin, dosen't meat it can't be.

I know the quality of our lives is dictated by the quality of the questions we ask…so I will stand in the above as my question.

Blessings,

Dylan M. Pendragon, Ph.D.

Hello all, journeyed her by way of mu's page, taking the test, then popping back to join the pod here.

I's a Healer Idealist INFP, but i guess i already knew that.  Clarity's always good though, right?  Thought i'd join to get some insight and maybe share some of my own.

Peace.

Hey all.  Really like the idea of uniting like minded idealists.  I'm an ENFP high school English teacher.  Looking forward to checking out the rest of the pod and hooking up with like minded people.
