This project actually occurred last February (2007). :-)

Since the film has been shown and released for some time now, it might be available through libraries or maybe even your local video store (?) Not sure. It's worth viewing. Lots of intersting people are interviewed. :)

Wonder how your project is being received by the Zaadz zaangha on september 15. I will be out of town and don't know whether anything going on in nearby towns Lexington, Louisville or Cincinnati area. Thanks for doing it. I am yet to watch the movie, sounds wonderful.

Dear All,

I have some exciting news!

I have been in contact with Ward M. Powers (Creator and Director of the film, ONE: The Movie) and Karen Jacobson, the ONE Movie public screening coordinator.

Karen, and the ONE Movie team have been generous enough to offer our Zaadz Zaangha Groups the “Small Group” Package discount for this Global Screening Event! The regular price for the screening package is $250 (50 people at $5.00 a ticket prepaid), however, each Zaadz group participating in this screening event, is being offered the “Small Group” package rate of only $50.00 plus $9.95 for S&H! The package includes a signed copy of ONE: The Movie DVD, the study guide and soundtrack!

This is great news because it makes it possible for most, if not all of our Zaadz Zaangha groups and others to participate! And, that is the purpose of this project: to get as many people around the world to host a screening (on the same day!) so that we can spread the message of ONE and sow the seeds of Zaadz at the same time.

I would like this to truly be a synchronized Global Zaadz Zaangha “ONE Day-ONE Movie” event in order to spread the message of ONE and generate “ONE energy” in as many parts of the world in a 24 hour period as possible!

The next step is to decide on ONE day/evening to screen the film globally. It will most likely be set for early 2007 to give us enough time to fund raise if need be, order the DVD package, advertise and spread the word to invite members of the local community, and find a location for the screening (if not a member’s home), etc.

There is also some talk of having a global discussion group afterward. That could be done as a 24 HOUR Skype Chat possibly, but it is still just an idea at this point.

Okay, so what I need now, is to hear from any and all of you who would like to make a commitment to participate in this project. It can be a collective group (Zaangha) effort, or hosted by one member of each group – whichever works best for all involved.

Place a comment here on this blog or contact me via my Zaadz email, (Please put ONE Movie Project in the subject line.) Tell me you want to host a screening and let me know your idea for a Date or Day that you think will work best if you have any preferences. (Ultimately, it will have to be a date that works best for the most people involved.)

Then, I will post updates here and also contact the people and groups who want to be involved, with the details on how to order the “small group package”, the date of the 24 hour period we will be screening the movie, and other particulars.

seriously?

immediately when i see that word i want to laugh. out loud. i'm rather irreverant in general, laugh at all the wrong times. i do take my own personal responsibility, accountability, integrity and all the rest 'seriously' but i can't get too serious about it, ya know? must be the contrary nature in me. i just want to make sure that we all get the joke at the same time. i am not intending to be disrespectful........... i just reacted! but i have seen, in my day, people, 'teachers', ministers, etc. who take themselves waaaaaayyyyyyyyyy too seriously.

Yeah, I'm still in the planning phase. I've emailed the filmmaker and he is all for this idea.

I'm not sure how I could do a global screening on the net, but if you have any ideas, please let me know. The idea is probably to have a Global ONE Movie /Zaadz Zaangha Day - and have the screenings planned for the same day in different parts of the country and globe. I'm not sure it is feasible, but if not, then I'll settle for Global screenings whenever the various groups can have them. It's a mighty big project to consider, but once I get the Zaadz Zaangha members to
commit, then their group will take over the organization and promotion in their area.

I like your idea of taking the twenty questions and asking friends and family etc.

I'm not sure there needs to be agreement on answers though, as my idea/vision of 'ONE' includes the many and the many means different viewpoints and opinions.

two responses:

why not go for a simultaneous global viewing of the film on the net?
and groups of friends can see it together
preferably in person
but otherwise through the net

i wonder how friends and family would respond to these questions...?
or the people here?

the trick with the second one
would be to use our answers
as a iprsng board for discussion
and improving our connectedness

for example
which questions can we leave alone to ourselves
and which questions need we confront our different answers
to establish agreement?

Ok, what do I know about screening movies. Saw the info. Looks "do-able". Already sent out emails to local places I think might be able to serve as a venue to see if they can, if so what they charge, etc.

Can't hurt to start with that can it?

I'll worry about how to come up with the $250 next.

Might be time to work up a phone list of local churches, diversity groups, student groups, etc. and solicit donations or try and "pre-sell".

I received an email reply from Ward M. Powers about this project.

I will be contacting his wife and we'll see where this goes! (I think it would be very cool to try to coordinate all of the Zaadz/Zaangha screenings so that they were on the same day. I don't know if that is feasible, but it seems like something to at least investigate. Ya know, make it ONE Zaadz Day ... ONE Zaangha Day .... "OZ" Day... you get the idea. :-)

Okay, here is my latest idea/vision.

I will be cross-posting from the ActualizerZ pod as this thing takes on life and hopefully comes to fruition as I envision it (or even better than I envision it! How's that? ;-)).

I had the idea of organizing worldwide screenings of ONE: the Movie. My vision is to get members of the Zaadz Zaanghas to organize and promote a screening of this film in their own local communities. They will raise the money to show the film (via donation or fund raising) and any location fee, and invite the public and local members of Zaadz to the screening.

My idea is to integrally promote the film, the message of the film and Zaadz all at the same time! Whoo hoo!

By the way, Ward M. Powers is a good example fo what being a 'change agent' is all about. He is a trial attorney who woke out of a sleep suddenly with his idea to make this film. He knew nothing about making a film ,but went ahead and did it anyway! Way to go.

I think it would be possible to get groups of Zaadz members in different areas to organize and host screenings of this movie. Local Zaadz members in that area could donate or raise enough money to host the screening,

Mmm. This is one that I have struggled with for many a weary moment in my time.

I am neither certain and convinced, or uncertain and convinced.

I often tell myself....if I carry on thinking this will happen (often something negative) that it will, and that I will have caused the event with my own negativity. But then the thing does not happen and I am joyous and thankful....and I go on wondering if that my joy is what is causing all the wonderful things to happen around me.

Its a strange one. -The mind, is a strange one.

I honestly believe though that, if a community were to be happy (focussed and mindfully happy) that the world would inturn change from this.

So thankyou, for your little post there. It brought something home for me and convinced me of a small internal dialogue/argument I have been having with myself for some time now.

Indeed. It all starts with self. With the free will and personal responsibilty born with us; to mould ourselves into something that can be the embodiment of happiness -thus, moulding our families, communities, nations, continents and planet(s).

People tend to take happiness with a pinch of salt. They tend to throw it back a t the sixties, calling it fluffy -calling it romantic and dreamy. But why not? The one thing that every creature on this planet shares is the desire to be happy -to be free from suffering. Why should this be such a "grand" dream for our civilization?
