Greetings Madeleine,

Mesa is indeed a pleasent city as you describe it. Personally this spirit is more of the small and cool town variety, but, has had occasion to be in south central az. Barnes and Noble, so many books, so little time...Esperanto...sounds familiar...but not knowledgable about it. Good for you learning it. Planning on Spanish myself.
This spirit abides in Prescott Valley, a cultural saharan backwater compared to Mesa, but small, cooler, but still the desert. Like yourself, this spirit looks forward to meeting, sharing, and growing with other spirits, and indeed, here is an online petri dish for us to grow and thrive!

Love and Light

Well, I think it's over. At least the worst part of that heat Seniors only welcome when it's concentrated in the kind of 'pad' that hopefully relieves pain in aged areas of the bod. Added advantage of that electrical kind: You can adjust it or turn it off at will. Not so, the raging SUN that reigns here in the Phoenix Valley. No question how this city got its name. Hopefully, before next summer I will have launched my 'Esprite de Tour', celebrating 75 years on this planet. An old road-worthy motorhome will act as my 'chariot'.
Meanwhile I am hoping to learn Tai chi.

Welcome to the city of Mesa.

It's a plesant city that grew too fast, but we have in the far-east section a beautiful series of overpasses, freeways and yes it makes communications much faster.
Mesa is often on the forgotten list but we have the largest Arts center in Arizona, this is beautiful part of Main Street. For my selfish joy,il there is a Barnes @ Noble and a Lowe's close to me this makes my life easier.(in construction,I must admit)
By his situation and access Mesa is close to the country side.
Lots of restaurants like everywhere but still missing The Cheese Factory or a real Japanese restaurant.
The superstition Mall is offering almost everything we can imagine and let's not forget the Val Vista section. This was a nice surprise.
I will welcome the opportunity to exchange ideas,tu discuss anything. It is important that I tell you,I speak with a strong accent but at Zaadz there is silence, which helps !
My interest is and has been for many years Esperanto, the international language. It gave me an opportunity to Know people in different countries without having to know their language..Writing and traveling gave me a knowledge that is precious to me.
Zaadz is a tolerant site and I appreciate that.
Peace and love to all,
Madeleine

      Warms greetings from Prescott Valley.

The days have cooled and the last half of yard work season has arrived. Prescott Valley enjoyed a cultural festival that while small in comparison to others I've attended, was a wonderful thing to observe in a town that has a lot of fundementalism both politically and religiously. This was the second year and was slightly larger then the first year with many wonderfilled local artists attending. Also recently was the Yavapai County Fair. This was heavily attended and had a lot of venues to look at. I had the fortune and pleasure of being a spectator to a dance performance conducted by a local dance studio which featured many local young children and teens. It was refreshing to see that a business was playing a part to keep youth creatively involved and "off the street" while at the same time providing exercise, mental stimulation, and confidence.

Prescott Valley has its share of local issues in everything from politics, over population, unsustainable construction, to ruination of habitat and the environment, immigration, drugs, and racism, etc. Being primarily a retirement community, spirits from around the country have located themselves here and all of the issues found in a big city have followed along even though the population is not enough to qualify for being aught but a town. Express yourself in the wrong setting or crowd, watch out! With so many issues, its problematic to decide which to take on, and what to do, especially on an individual level. I would hazrd that this is a common issue.

Any zaadzters in Prescott Valley let me know and we'll hook up, or even in the surrounding communities. For you further away, I offer my support and am still interested in hearing what going on, and, can even be moved to transport myself to help out providing I've not booked myself elsewhere or am running low on finances.

Love and Light
