Hello, All,
I am a Master's student at ASU, and I've lived in AZ for just over a year now. I came from Oklahoma, grew up on a dairy farm. Now I'm a classical musician, and I play the oboe. I'm always looking for new friends in Phoenix...it's hard to meet people here.

      Blessing back Margie Scott,
We go to Bisbee and the Chiricahua's often. Most recently to Kartchner caverns, what a treat! Beginning of Aug we were there for a down pour and the temp dropped to 62 -- omy I was in heaven. Got some coffee from the guy down the street in the little alley and a necklace from the woman that sells jewelry next to him. Lunch in the Copper Queen -- the vegetarian place was closed :( Southeast Az is my spiritual center.

I'll look you up next time we are down there. We are thinking of going for my birthday weekend next Thurs. that or Rocky Point.

Yea, I noticed not a lot of activity here. Bummer to post a hello and not get one back.

Well, you take care and maybe we will meet up someday. Bisbee is a place of many facets! lol **God forbid we have guys in dresses, or musicians playing on the street.
**: bought a cute little piece of hair jewelry from the lady in the mall type thing next to the coffee shop. had an interesting little visit with her.

maybe I'll take you up on your Retreat Coach someday. email me with the details.

Love & Light
Sea

Hello fellow AZ Zadsters and Zaangha's,
I was real excited to discover this pod, and then equally disappointed to see that the activity has been minimal since it's inception. I'm hoping that perhaps, now that the summer heat is winding down and people can start to retrieve their melted brains, that things will start to juice up here.

I reside down here in the SE corner of the state, in the fun little cutest artsy community of Bisbee, right on the border. Actually Bisbee isn't quite what it used to be-I've been here for 6 1/2 yrs, hailing from a 2 yr stint on the road, living in my RV with my cat. The local color and alternative thread has been a bit replaced by absentee 2nd home owners and uptight folks who love the community when they come here, then want to do whatever they can to gentrify it so they can be more comfortable. God forbid we have guys in dresses, or musicians playing on the street.

In any case, Bisbee has been good for me. I've been able to persue my dreams of being in service to the world at large by supporting the healing journey's of others, helping others to discover their truest, happiest, most authentic selves, and to live a life of bliss from a foundation of personal alignment and self development for their highest good. I'm a Life Coach and I love my work. I also am a Master Retreat Coach, meaning I take people on retreat to guide them back to themselves and their heart's true calling. Did I say I love my work?? It is so much fun and I consider it such an honor to witness others on this path.

I love the idea of actually getting together and meeting people in real life, so If any of you Zad's are down this way, drop me a lline and let's connect to see how are visions might support one another, or what fun we can create together.

Here's to a thirst quenching fabulous monsoon season, green hillsides, full moon eclipses and desert dry air!
Blessings,
margie Scott

Hailing from Queen Creek -- Waiting not so patiently for, at least a cooling off during the night -- but usually we have to wait for halloween for that. It is great to find this pod! How exciting. :) Empty nest this year and just going back to school for Eng. Lit and Creative Writing. That's about it for me.

interesting aside: hubby was born in Tucson, his Dad too, and his grandfather came from Texas and ran for District Marshall in Bisbee. That's always a cool share. I've been here since 1975, born in WI.

Looking forward to getting to know you all.

Love,
Sea

Greetings all, nice to find the zona pod. I will be moving to somewhere in Northern AZ before the end of the year, most likely somewhere around Prescott. Wish I had come there first when I headed west ;) ;)

Also testing the waters for folks interested in an intentional community in that area. Preferably of the egilatarian sort. Just saw the posting for natural villages and am looking forward to following up to see what they are about. I lived in an intentional community for almost four years and really began to discover "who I was" there. While they are a beautiful people with a rich life, I moved away for "religious" reasons, but desire very much again the lifestyle of community.

Feel free to visit my profile pages or invite me as a friend.

Peace
melinda

First off - you HAVE to love the heat - probably more important if you move to AZ than NM - although both states can get pretty dang hot esp in the southern regions...

Secondly - there are very few trees in the deserts - but loads of trees up on the Mogollon rim - AZ's "North Country" ...I think NM has "sky islands" like Taos which have a lot of trees...

Be careful of developers trying to sell you land in wash prone areas - washes are natural river beds that are mainly dry but which flood and run profusely when it rains...

Write to both state's chamnber of commerce's and I'm sure they'd be happy to send you some sort of "relocation packet" - when you narrow it down to a few cities - do the same and they will also send out the packets.

Thirdly - be prepared for culture shock - things ARE NOT the same out west as back East....

Funny - I've been thinking of moving to New Mexico for quite some time now....New Mexico is the state I fell in love with when I viisted the southwest many years ago (1989).
